"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I did the amount of money spent on the products I use on a daily basis, which is around $100 (like if I needed to all of a sudden replace the makeup I needed to wear to work tomorrow). If you add in brushes we are looking at more like $175.
If you were to talk about all of the makeup in my makeup bag (which is really not a LOT, it is just high quality), then it is probably $500-800?
$20-$50. I get quite a bit of free things from work (mostly skincare, not too much color) so it really helps with making purchases. One of the downsides is that the items usually differ but it's a great way to try new products.
WHAT ARE THE RULES? Are we adding skin care? Cause if so, I gotta add another $450, and that's just for the stuff in heavy rotation (day cream, night, eye cream, face wash, scrub, 2 masks I use regularly) and doesn't include the random ass assortment of sheet masks I have in my drawer.
Hair care is barely anything. I don't know how to do my damn hair.
I have a whole cabinet full of MU, skin care, and hair products. At one point, I had to pare down my palettes b/c they were getting ridiculous. I probably had 50 palettes. I still have about 30. I also keep backups on hand for BB cream, shadow primer, makeup remover, and mascara. I also have a shit ton of hair stuff b/c my mom maintains her cosmetology license and buys me stuff from the state supply store. When we moved 3 years ago, I counted about 50 different hair products. I threw some of them away but I still probably have at least 30. #addicted
I recently counted my lipsticks and have 26 of them. Average $20 each and just lipstick is $520. 15 eye shadow pallets, $30 average being very conservative, and that's $450. I don't even want to think about mascara, eye liner, foundation, blushes, and nail polishes. It's a lot.
This is completely where I am. It's not like I have a problem, right?
I put in an amount, which I thought was kinda high, but totally forgot about my nail polish stash. I have over a hundred bottles. Omg... No wonder there is no storage room in the bathroom.
I was also reminded that this stuff goes bad. I dipped into a highlighter I bought last year and it definitely smelled funky. Sad. I think it was at least $30 and barely got used.
I'm not really one to experiment with new cosmetics; I like to find what works and stick with it. I do have three eyeshadow palettes but I never wear lipstick. Still, the products I use regularly for a full face – from primer to finishing spray – total nearly $700. That's not including brushes or skin care aside from the eye cream and moisturizer that are part of my make-up routine.
But I'm a SAHM and rarely bother with all of that; my more typical make-myself-presentable look is only $62 worth of BB cream, undereye color corrector, and barely-there mascara.

I don't purchase a lot of makeup. I probably spent $400 last year between memebox and Sephora. However, fragrances? Lol Somewhere around $3500. Hair care, $400 on various products.
I rarely wear makeup. The only thing I wear daily is a lip moisturizer or tint/gloss.

A lot! I've almost outgrown my makeup table. I'm going to have to get more storage. This is after I donated and gave away a good amount.
I have an addition to buying new primers, foundations, concealers and lipsticks. Mainly high end products. So probably total right now is $2500. I spend about $200 a month on new products. DH doesn't mind, it makes me happy.
I don't have a large quantity of stuff. A drawer full of lipsticks (capscapscaps) would give me hives. I had one palette and I couldn't wait to get rid of it because the unused colors were mocking me.
the unused colors on my palette make me really angry, too. I want to put electrical tape over them or something.

I'm a sucker for those drugstore dupes articles and most of my nicer stuff comes from subscription boxes or samplers I grab from Ulta. I bet for my daily needs - eyebrows, mascara, highlighter, lip pencil, lip - it MIGHT be 25 dollars. Maybe 50 if I add primer, eyeliner and eyeshadow. I'm also perfectly happy to go without makeup at all for weeks at a time.
If you asked me this a few years ago it would've been thousands. Now it's probably around $200. I use the same 5 products (one of them is the UD Naked 2 pallete) every day and don't switch. I used to buy a lot of makeup stuff to play around with at sephora, but now I just stick to what I use daily.
