Two things for me:
One, the IT people at work figured out a way to automatically fix ~30,000 hyperlinks so that I don't have to do it manually. They are my new favorite people!
Two, BF and I got a first class upgrade for the second leg of our flight to Cancun on Thursday! Woo hoo! He also has a free pass for two people to go to the USAirways club, which we plan on doing, since we have a 4-hour layover between flights. Both the USAirways club and first class offer complimentary booze. This is sounding like an EXCELLENT start to our vacation!!!
I found out that the Norwegian divorce application is available in English! I looked through it, and it's barely more than a page long, so when my year of separation is finally up, it will be a piece of cake to fill it out and finally get truly divorced.

This whole board has been depressing lately.
I bought a pair of cheapie cowboy boots at Target on my lunch. They're not what I wanted, but I also can't afford a $200 pair right now. They're cute and that's all that matters!

I just signed up for car insurance at a steal! Most of the quotes in Michigan were 2-3 times higher than TX. I worked some discounts and associations, now I have better coverage than I had in TX, but for only $10 per month more!
I grabbed coffee for my friend and I this morning and the lady in front of me (in the drive-thru) gave the girl $5 to help pay for my drinks! I paid it forward and bought the next person in line their drinks!
I am about to interview candidates for Homecoming King and Queen, and I will get free dinner for it.
*gigglesnort*
Oh, I'm looking forward to it, because I am making up ways to be weird and subversive with them.
Homecoming King/Queen stuff? Not my scene. Ever. Although, surprisingly, I was the secretary for my class. I ran as a joke, but I have one of those last names that make you sit up and take notice, so I won. They expected me to resign, so I didn't. They hated me a lot. It was tense!
Lesson: don't run for student council as a joke if you have a porn star's last name.

I got numbers on a work project today so I could move it along since its due on the 15th. I have one more project due by the 15th to finish but I feel like I crossed the divide from so stressed I'm losing my mind to I've done my best and it will be what it is.

I want to hear more about your riding lessons? Are you learning Western or English/Huntseat?
Cute :Y: Thanks!
I am riding English right now. I LOVED horses when I was a kid but my parents couldn't afford lessons given there are 6 of us. Now that I have disposible income, I figured why not! My goal is to learn how to jump.

Do you ride?
That sounds fun and so awesome that you're doing it after all these years!
I grew up riding/training/showing horses! I took my first riding lessons when I was 8 years old and became obessed. I bought my first horse at age 11 -- I saved for 2 years after my parents told me that for every $1 I saved, they would contribute $2 to my horse fund. Bet they wished they never told me that...ha!
I was heavily invovled with 4-H & high school equestrian team (that's actually how FF and I got to know each other back in the day) -- I did english, western, saddleseat, bareback, trail, pattern classes, showmanship, etc. I never got into jumping because my horse would ALWAYS refuse 3 times and then jump every fence in the pattern...but after 3 refusals you're disqualified. So, I never went down that avenue.

That is hilarious about buying a horse!! I tried to save for one too but alas...I topped out at $25, haha! If I get into enough I may look into leasing.
Not sure if I will ever compete. Right now I just do it because I enjoy it. So if I learn to jump but never use the skill in a true arena, oh well!

My good thing today is that I actually have had time to be on here! I've been super busy at work and don't do much more than lurk for the most part.
I've had some good news come through at work regarding a huge project that I'm working on finally. I think after 2 1/2 months, progress will finally start being made!
Also, BF is awesome! He's on the other side of the world at work than me (I work on the admin side of things, he's on the production side). So, he is part of the target audience I'm trying to reach. He is reviewing a presentation for me to see if "his people" will understand what I am saying. After 3 1/2 years, it is very obvious that the engineering world and the admin world speak very different languages.

DS didn't whine at me when I dropped him off at school today for the first time since he started the new school. In fact, he ran off and played with two boys in his class! YAY!
