The new president has marveled to aides about the splendor of the White House and the lengths he must walk to retrieve something from a far-flung room.
And guys, he's planning to work two whole weeks before he heads to Florida for some R&R!
Mr. Trump is in the meantime pondering his first break away from the White House, a potential trip to Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, Fla., possibly the weekend of Feb. 3.

LMAO
Look Dump, I'm an out-of-shape fatass too, but at least I have the self-awareness not to embarrass myself by repeatedly calling attention to it.

This is also a sign of "a great business man" not translating to an even mediocre president. At least in my experience, execs make a sweeping decision and everyone fills in the detail and most are relieved someone made the difficult decision for them. It looks to me that he's using that approach with his EOs and memos, hoping it makes him look like a strong leader with his quick decision-making and delegation. That's not how it works as POTUS bc it instead looks (and is) reckless. He's so disappointed it doesn't just go away when he makes a call & wants to go golfing while everyone else handles the minutiae. Again, I can't with how transparent he is. You've got no game, DT!
His mornings, he said, are spent as they were in Trump Tower. He rises before 6 a.m., watches television tuned to a cable channel first in the residence, and later in a small dining room in the West Wing, and looks through the morning newspapers: The New York Times, The New York Post and now The Washington Post.
But his meetings now begin at 9 a.m., earlier than they used to, which significantly curtails his television time. Still, Mr. Trump, who does not read books, is able to end his evenings with plenty of television.
Many presidents have complained of being cooped up inside the White House — George W. Bush in particular said he missed the outdoors — but Mr. Trump can go for days without breathing in fresh outside air.
"Still Mr Trump, who does not read books" I'm a huge reader so I admit that I'm biased in that direction but it pains me to think we have a man in the White House who proudly admits that he never reads. It reminds me of Sarah Palin who could not think of a single newspaper or magazine she read to keep abreast of current events. This is who we get after our last successful president who says that his secret to surviving the White House was to read:
The writings of Lincoln, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, Mr. Obama found, were “particularly helpful” when “what you wanted was a sense of solidarity,” adding “during very difficult moments, this job can be very isolating.” “So sometimes you have to sort of hop across history to find folks who have been similarly feeling isolated, and that’s been useful.” There is a handwritten copy of the Gettysburg Address in the Lincoln Bedroom, and sometimes, in the evening, Mr. Obama says, he would wander over from his home office to read it.
The best weapon against a malignant narcissist is to refuse to enter their alternate reality. He is desperate to bring the narrative back under his control. It's not going to happen.
Dead on. It also helps not to become hysterical at their antics -- because it often delights them to cause others to show "weakness" -- but to remain determined and firm about the facts.

I was coming to post the same thing.

I just got finished reading this to my coworkers and we got a good laugh.

This article is amazing. It's like when parents have to interpret all of the incoherent shit their two year old says.
It doesn't seem to be anything official, so it may all just be gossip ... but apparently Trump's team is in talks with Downing Street for him to visit the Queen this summer. Primarily so he can play golf at Balmoral, her Scottish estate. Which would likely require the Queen to rearrange her whole schedule, as her Balmoral summer "break" always happens in late summer.
Another similar article said he wants to address a joint session of Parliament, which has only been done by Presidents Reagan, Clinton, and Obama. AND he wants to do it in Westminster Hall, which only President Obama did.

One of the largest sources of discontent that I see people say about Obama's administration was how many vacation he took. SO MANY VACATIONS the would say.
So this, leaving the white house every weekend, isn't considered a vacation? His supporters are really so stupid to think that he's capable of running the country when his staff isn't anywhere near him?

OMG. my head hurts.
Seriously, right? Do they think he just hung an Away Message sign on the Oval Office door and didn't get briefings or have meetings all the time?
A "vacation" for a (typical) president seems like nothing more than a change of scenery, basically, and some new stuff for the family to do.

His constant want/need for a break/vacation just shows how an awful businessman he is. No one launches a huge project and then take the first weekend off or a whole two ducking weeks off! No wonder his has so many failed businesses with all the breaks he takes instead of you know running those businesses.
Trump and his team wish to recreate the Thatcher-Reagan relationship with Theresa May, a source close to Trump has even told The Telegraph that he refers to Ms May as “my Maggie” in private.

Yep. Trump loves fighting and chaos. The ongoing blitz of EOs and Cabinet hearings and legislation is part of a strategy they all thought up during the transition period. It has felt like shock and awe and it's demoralizing. However, it hasn't all gone perfectly. It's gratifying to know it bothers the shit out of him.
I expect to see GWB and/or Cheney show up in the Oval before the year is out. At some point he's going to want to talk to someone who's been there and Pres. Obama isn't going to play Captain Save a Ho.
Trump's fascination with Pres. Obama is the craziest thing. You can tell he wrestles with wanting what he has and because he doesn't he hates him. (And duh, he's a racist too.) He's the stalker from the ABC after school special.
I hope he wastes even more time watching TV and takes a million trips to his homes. If he wants to move out and just pretend he's not president, fantastic. Whatever keeps him away from a pen and a stack of executive orders.

Ugh, Cheney...nooo. And again it's really messed up that GWB keeps coming up as the better option. Now I wouldn't be surprised if Obama does come in to help -- not to help Cheeto, per se, but to help the country. He's cool like that.
I just want him to go away forever and ever, but failing that, bothering the shit out of him is a fabulous alternative (*not to be mistaken with 'alternate facts').

I think President Obama would come in, but there's no way that Bannon et. al. would allow that, given how much the people in the basket hate the former president. Maybe behind the scenes, but not publicly. I could see GWB helping, especially if he thought DT could help repair Jeb's reputation. Or Romney.
