Since I know people are always looking for advice on this issue, I wanted to pass on a new discovery.

Last month, I ordered this to organize some closet stuff.

It wasn't quite what I thought it was, and at first I was going to return it, and then I realized that it is the perfect way to organize my foils, samples, and travel sizes of makeup and beauty products. I have put in there all the foils and samples for products I want to try out, foils/travel sizes of products I like for travel purposes, back ups for smaller products like mascaras and eyeliners, extra mirrors/compacts for purses, etc. Plus I put items for my purse that I seem to have multiple of laying all over the house, e.g. mirrors, spare contact lens cases and eyedrops, extra chapstick, smaller travel brushes, etc so if I lose something, I can easily find the extra.

I am packing for a trip this week and for the first time ever, I am not digging in every drawer and box in the house looking for the foils of makeup remover that I hoarded for the past year. It has changed my life!

This is a great idea! I had a very shallow (but very long/wide) drawer in my old bathroom where I kept all of my foils and travel sized stuff, but since we moved to this house it's all gotten jumbled up in my makeup closet, and I barely use any of it because it's difficult to find anything.
