Rewatching Chicago on Netflix and eating crepes (leftovers from Pancake Tuesday).
Excited to save/spend our solar credit. We have a 1.49% loan on the solar equipment, so will probably use it for my paris/london and new orleans trip as well as roth, student loan and other fun stuff.
And I think we're going to try this baby thing starting next month, which is interesting.

I wasn't lobbying actively for it, but the bosses put my name in play, and it was approved by the folks that needed to OK!
My comp goes up significantly across all components - and what I can't tell my employer is that I am DYING to update my early retirement model with my new income.
This is a funny one, because it's not public yet NO one knows professionally (aside from boss, CEO, etc.), nor will they for several weeks - I have shared with my partner, one of my mentors, and my family - that's it! I'll share with a few friends next week when we are face to face.
Thanks for giving me a space to share a bit more than IRL

Congratulations @shoegal!!
When is your trip just? I can't wait to get back to Europe one of these days.
I took tomorrow off from work and I'm so excited to have a day off to do whatever I want to do. I'm probably going to do a handful of errands and exchanges. I have my work baby shower this afternoon. And this weekend is DH's birthday. Then baby is kind of free to come whenever she wants. I can't believe I'm at this point already!

Congrats, @shoegal. It's so rewarding when you get promoted without having to lobby for it. Makes a person feel so valued! :0)
I just found out that after 6 1/2 more years of on time payments, I can get my student loan debt forgiven! I had heard of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program before as I work for a not-for-profit hospital, but thought since my position was not healthcare-related, I wouldn't qualify. Found out that's not true, and in 6 1/2 short years (lol), I'll be student loan debt free!!!! I am so excited.

I'll be the downer today.....I am miserable with poison ivy. How the hell does one get poison ivy in the NE in February?
Congrats @shoegal !
The poison ivy "juices" can stay active off of the plant for up to a year. If your hiking boots or gardening gloves or whatever touched poison ivy last summer, then you touched those items today, you can still contract poison ivy. It's crazy.
Congratulations, @shoegal!
My random is that we recently moved back to our college town. I opened an alumni newsletter for probably the first time ever, and they were looking for alumni to come back and speak to current students about life after graduation. I volunteered, and was accepted to be a "distinguished alumni." I'm laughing a little, because I don't always feel particularly distinguished, and also because they sent me the questions ahead of time. One of them is about how we basically learned financial literacy, which I completely credit this board with! I need to come up with a better answer and maybe some recommendations by next week.

MH and I have been together 15 years. Wow, time flies.
I'm a bit overwhelmed a work ... partly due to my own laziness, but also because people are quitting left and right and everyone else has to pick up the slack. Some days I feel like I'm on a sinking ship and I should also quit, but that would be a disaster for our family right now.
Thank you all for the likes and well wishes! I am traveling this week and can't tell the news to anyone I am with yet so your good vibes mean even more than they usually do
And @bellakitty you are absolutely distinguished!!!!
