This will go in our breakfast nook. It's unfinished so I can stain or paint.
Here is a pic of the table, kitchen and then looking into living room. Floor in breakfast nook is gray tile. Cabinets are espresso. Floor in attached living room is espresso wood and furniture is light gray chalk paint. Our decorations are coastal/beachy.
Should I paint it white and do white chairs? Or teal or navy chairs?
Stain it gray or espresso? Or stain the top and paint the pedestal white?
Excuse the mess, I took these pics with no lights on this morning.
I would stain the top to match the cabinets and paint the pedestal the same teal as your barstools. When you have a centerpiece, runner, etc. on the table it won't be too dark and will coordinate into your kitchen nicely.
coastal/beachy? I like the idea of a painted table. my mom has the same theme with white cabinets and a slightly lighter floor, and she has white painted table and chairs. her color scheme is also white/aqua/teal/blue/dark wood. either paint the whole thing white or teal, or I like the previous idea of staining the top and painting the bottom.
