How anyone agreed to work with him is beyond me. It is well documented how he treats people. While this is disgusting, it is exactly how he on record treating people.
On the other hand, she could just get a new job if she thinks he's really harassing her. That's what Ivanka would do, after all, right?
Is this in reference to something? I'm curious. I assume the Trump's assume it's just that easy.
One of her brothers has said this, don't remember which one. She would never be harassed t work because she's a "strong woman" and if she did she would just find someplace else to work.

Donald Jr (I think, could have been Eric, they're both such assholes) said that if Ivanka was being harassed at work (which wouldn't happen, because she is so strong and wouldn't let herself be harassed) she would get a new job. Basically saying women who are sexually harassed at work are weak and just too lazy to job hunt.

Daddy dearest said it. The "clarification" was from Eric. Trump's response when asked about how he would feel if Ivanka was treated the way Ailes treated the women at Fox:
What if someone had treated Ivanka in the way Ailes allegedly behaved?
His reply was startling, even by Trumpian standards. “I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” he said.
(this was the first link. There are dozens of links, including all the MSM that are probably behind paywalls.)
and Eric Trump clarifies that Ivanka wouldn't let herself be harassed in the first place:
"I think what he's saying is, Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn't allow herself to be objected to it, and by the way, you should take it up with human resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don't think she would allow herself to be subjected to that," he continued. "I think that's a point he was making, and I think he did so well."
I still don't know why she tied herself to this turd. Is the foreign policy experience really worth it?
My guess is she - like many others - thought he wouldn't be as bad as he seemed during the campaign and this was her chance for a national/international position and she would be in NY and would not have to deal with him that much.
Beyond when he embarrasses her like this, of course.
Besides embarrassing her, does he realize this just adds to the uncertainty around his administration? If people think there's a chance Haley will be gone next week, why would they bother talking to her this week? It's like when Mary Marsh refused to deal with Josh Lyman because he was supposedly clearing his desk out as they spoke. If no one can trust that the cabinet member/ambassador/whoever will be there for any length of time, why deal with them if you can avoid it?
And yes, there is a West Wing reference for everything.

Well, what about those women who aren't in Nikki's position? Who aren't going to get the press coverage when their boss chooses to cross the line? How is she protecting "those women" by aligning herself in this administration?
