I think I remember cjoy following this plan for awhile. Anyone else? If you started following her plans, do you still? Tell me what you think, please. After a year of not feeling well due to medical stuff, I'm finally starting to feel better and have always been interested in this. Thanks!
I was supposed to do it with her a few years ago. I stopped, she kept going.
My sister has also done it. She's naturally very thin and normally does a lot of cardio, and she said this changed her body really quickly. I couldn't tell a huge difference in clothes, but her before/after pics are insane. Abs for days.

Oh, ha, HRH Queen Dick I, Orphan , were you serious? I thought you both were kidding. It's an Aussie-living Greek woman who put together this Bikini Body Guide (BBG). It's clean eating and high intensity, resistance and steady intensity workouts, I think. All the before after photos on IG are nuts.

I follow her on IG and even put the app on my phone but never followed through with her workouts. I wish I had her body though, and the before and after pics are motivating.
I did it for a few months, lost a lot of weight. I also followed her food guide. Then stopped and did barre.
Tried restarting and then quit after two days, twice.
Too time consuming to follow all the different exercises? Or the need to be self-motivated? Those are my concerns over a personal trainer or classes!
One of the main reasons I stuck with her program for as long as I did was because of how little time it consumed. Her workouts are 28 minutes 3 times a week and then you either run or do HIIT running (which I did, and took about 30 minutes 3 days a week) I just did not find it fun. I signed up for barre and loved the workouts so focused more on that.
I've had to stop working out for IVF related stuff and have just found myself so unmotivated inregards to starting anything again
The food guide would be my downfall. I can work out and get strong, but I'll never be able to eat clean enough to have the kind of muscle definition/low body fat % that's in a lot of those after photos.
I'm on week 9. The negatives: My opinion is that it's time consuming if you follow her complete plan. I've never finished a workout in 28 minutes. Factor in warm up, break between rounds and workouts were easily 45 minutes 3x/week. Coupled with 3-4 LISS/HIT workouts a week, it's a lot. (Not to mention the stretching I never do). I have not followed her meal plan and as such I have not lost a single pound. The positives: I'm definitely stronger and I like that I don't need a gym to do the workouts. I haven't lost inches (or even an inch) in my waist but I'm sure I've lost a centimeter. I'll continue on with it and may repeat it with the intent of cleaning up my eating.

I definitely don't think it's this. They're all quite simple. For me, it's just laziness (so, the second one.)
The self motivated part for me is HARD! (Prior to kids I easily ran 30-40 miles a week but these workouts can be brutal). I really rely on the before/after photos on her Instagram to motivate me. (Side note: most before/after photos are at least 6 months apart if not years)
I do them. I've started and stopped a few times when work or life is too crazy. I finish them in 28 minutes and really like them. I loose weight on them and they kick my butt. Plus some of them can be adapted to do in a hotel room or hotel gym. I walk my dog for the cardio so my progress is slow but I'm an old and have bad knees so all the squats and lunges are about all my body can take. I don't follow the food plan but eat healthy. I just did day two this morning.
I did it for a nearly a year (downloaded the app) and it was good, I did find all the LISS/HIIT stuff time consuming by the end and life caught up to me and I lost motivation. I also plateaued and the workouts got really repetitive.
Now I'm doing Jillian Michaels' app (about 35 days in) along with two runs/walks a week and it's kickstarted me again to losing weight and changing shape. I find I really always come back to Jillian, whether it has been the 30 Day Shred, or her Making the Cut book. I think her workouts on the app will also get repetitive but it's nice to mix it up and significantly cheaper (assuming you were planning on paying, Kayla's stuff is available all over for free).
I did up to week 12, 2 summers ago. I was also running 3-7 miles 3-4 times a week. I didn't change any eating. I wasn't trying to lose weight, I wanted to get more toned.
I didn't do 28 minutes. I just did each exercise set twice. I modified the ones that required a step up or bench thing ( those aren't until week 10+). The first 2-3 weeks made my muscles so so sore. But after that, it was hard, but I wasn't sore trying to get up from sitting type sore.

Yup. i work out all the damn time, and eat mostly clean, but it's never going to happen. /pops handful of Reese's pieces eggs
OP, I did the plan for one cycle (can't remember how long) but skipped the food plan, in addition to marathon training though. So I don't really know how much can be attributed to the BBG plan vs running 40 miles a week. I have enjoyed orange theory fitness much more (and had much more obvious muscle results).
And meganew is currently in Disney where she's probably walking 24000 steps a day. 😂
And sweating off off every churro I put in my mouth. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.
Edit: hit send too soon!
I did the whole 16(?) week program a few years ago, it was easy to do it in the house since Viv was a baby and getting to the gym was tough. At the time I remember feeling better and stronger, but being pissed that I didn't see as much of a physical change- but looking back at pictures my thighs were definitely more toned and my arms looked good. I need to start it back up again- running by itself isn't doing as much as it once did.

I don't know why I am back in this thread - but I feel like you are in a similar situation to me. I have three kids 6,4,1.5, work full time and don't have a ton of time to go off to the gym.
What I liked. The session are about 30 mins. If they weren't for me I would go through everything 2x and the. Start a third round. My kids were actively involved. They either did the moves with me or were playing close by.
When I run on the other hand it's at 5:00am or 10:00pm.
Also, I never followed the meal plan, or any meal plan. I'm not exercising my butt off to turn around and eat kale every day. So, that might be why I didn't see as much of a result. Lol.
What kind of equipment do you need at home for this? I've been interested in starting, but haven't looked into it in depth, and have nothing at home as far as weights, etc.

Weights, a yoga mat and skipping rope.
You need a bench type thing for some exercises (for step ups etc) but I use this ottoman we have.

I started following her program last summer, quit after about 4 weeks because I went back to work and didn't have time/energy. I restarted in January.
I'm on my second round of BBG1. I have constantly worked out for my entire adult life, and I have NEVER seen my shape change so quickly. I'm currently 7 lbs UNDER my pre-pregnancy weight and, for the first time ever, my pants are loose in the waist.
I don't follow her meal plan, but I eat fairly clean/well anyway. I think as long as you're eating sensibly then you don't need to follow her menu.
I just took some progress photos this morning, so I'm hoping to compare this afternoon!
