Yeah I think that's what I'm feeling about it. I thought it would be more sheer from the online photo, but they had it styled on a model wearing a sweater over it (sooo dumb!) so it was hard to tell.
HZ - yeah I really like the print.. I think it's the collar and the big sleeve that is throwing it off on me. I tried tucking in the collar to see if it was worth removing, but I think it's more the sleeve. And I don't feel like spending time altering a dress like that unless I really *loved* it, ya know? It might be cuter as a 3/4 sleeve. Oh well.

Return it and send me a pic. If I find it at a Target that time forgot in the Honey Boo Booland that I live in for 50-75% off I'll message you. Then you can reconsider it for a project piece. I did it with about a half dozen of the Liberty of London things. They were awesome prints on several heinous pieces. I got about 6 for under $8 a piece and made several into skirts and tops. That has potential. I'm thinking shorten the sleeves, mullet the skirt, and maybe a cutout on the back to show some skin and make it over. I barely ever find thing I love and make so much over. I'll try to post some of my upcycled stuff tomorrow when I get home.
FCG - I will! If it were under $10-15 it would be a worthy sewing project, but at $40 not so much. PS: I think we should be sewing buddies.
I would seriously love that! I almost went back for a Certificate in Fashion Design to add to my MBA because my dream job would be styling or designing merch for musicians, but the school discontinued the Certificate and won't accept anyone with an undergrad degree that's finished.
BTW, I was at UO today and the sale room had some amazing pieces that you would have loved. The one here does well on the home stuff, but the fun clothes almost never sell.
