Outline the red area now to track it overnight. Is it hot? Painful? Can you walk and bend your toes? If it's not major already I'd just watch overnight. Anything major discomfort-wise, I'd go in sooner rather than later just to avoid going in at 2am after a middle of the night decline.
I agree with drawing the circle to see if it's spreading. If it is, see the doc soon. One thing that will help with the itchiness is to soak it in as hot of water as you can stand. It'll help--trust me.

The redness concerns me. How old is this? Are you itching it? Do you have red/fire ants where you live?
I've never seen a red ant here, but that doesn't mean anything.
I'll ditto road bananas that it looks like a fire ant bite and it looks like it popped. Was there a white dot when you first saw it? They hurt and itch and make my foot swell something awful. Benedryl and I've found that for some reason bactine also helps take out the itch but temporarily.

Not that I noticed, but I scratched it before I knew what it was.

I think I have heard you can press a hot spoon to a bug bite to relieve the itch.
I was bit by a white sock (horse fly) on my foot 10 years ago which swelled up and eventually became infected. Eventually I had to go to the ER because my leg started to swell, in addition to my foot. I had been soaking it in cold water, and the ER doc said that's the worst thing to do. He told me to soak in hot water as that helps to break up the infection and helps your body get rid of it.
I've used the hot water method on mosquito bites too (yep, I swell up from those too), and it helps the itch subside for at least a couple hours.

Have you been scratching it a bunch? My skin looks like that from ant bites. I would also suggest drawing around the red to see if it's spreading and try not to scratch!

I've used a blow dryer on poison oak so I think same concept. It feels amazing. I'd suggest just trying it.
About two months ago I posted about my spider bite. It started out similar to that and kept spreading. Put a circle around it and see if it spreads tomorrow.
It was a brown recluse spider and they can be really serious- which I didn't know prior. I have a scar but after some heavy antibiotics it started clearing up.
I am outside Philly so we are in the same region as you, so, there they are recluse spiders unfortunately.
That looks much better. Even from across the room. Maybe if you could zoom in a little bit for us ...
Hah! I hate how gross my feet are, so I figured I'd crop out as much as I could! Now I'm deleting them because ew.
Aw. I was just teasing you! But it really does look much better today. Even if it's still itchy, it's much less red, and that's what I'd worry about most.

It does feel overall better, and I'm guessing the pain was from me scratching and poking at it.
