Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't two of those counts dangerous discharge from being 16 inches away from hitting the child in the back seat. This is disgusting

What the fuck do we have to do? How the fuck do we change this? Something has GOT to change. They were hung 24 hours ago. Hung. SOMEONE was standing up. What made them give up?
There has to be a better system that actually dispenses justice. Godfuckingdamnit.
I work for the same district (different building) Mr. Phil did, and this is the statement from work:
The jury's verdict in the Officer Jeronimo Yanez trial may bring strong emotions for those who knew and cared for Philando Castile.
This is a tragedy that impacts many people and lives in our community were forever changed.
The Saint Paul Public Schools community continues to remember and mourn the loss of “Mr. Phil," a beloved SPPS employee. School district counselors will be available to talk with students and staff as needed once summer term begins on June 19.

I've been trying to put this into words for the past 20 minutes.
I mean, I'm not surprised this is the verdict. But I feel so hopeless because I don't know what we can actually do.
What exactly does it take to get a police officer convicted of unlawfully killing a black man? Does he have to be screaming, while shooting the man, "I am only shooting you because I am irrationally scared for my life based on the fact that you are black instead of all evidence showing me that you are a law abiding citizen who is just reaching for his wallet like I just told you to do?". I bet even then he would be found not guilty. Did Castile have to lay down on the ground with his hands up in the air to not get shot? Oh wait, that really happened before too. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE JURORS AND THESE POLICE OFFICERS AND THIS WORLD WE LIVE IN?!!?!
