After I started working this winter, I started to have a hard time posting in the old Tackle it Tuesday threads because of my schedule. But I do love the concept of tackling non-routine tasks.
So ... what non-routine task(s) are you planning to tackle in the near future?

I have to figure out my car bike rack situation. I have roof rack attachments from a previous car, and an adapter kit for my current car, but I'm worried that the attachment points on the model I have will likely be in conflict with a fully open hatchback. Tomorrow I have a couple hours between appointments so I'm gonna go to the roof rack store and see if there's another design that would work better for my car, and see if they'd be willing to do some kind of trade.
I have a bunch of diaper related items that I need to get photo'd and listed for sale as ds either has outgrown it or is on the verge of outgrowing so I'm restashing with diapers that are bigger - example the AC2's are close to being outgrown and need to be sold to fund the stash of AC3's.

I talked to a guy at the rack store who gave me a sense of how far forward I could move my crossbars and still have a good connection for my bike attachments. I got it done, woohoo! With millimeters to spare.

My tackle-its for this week:
I have a handful of seedlings that still need to go in the ground .... what's stopping me is that the spots where I want to put them need some serious weeding/ivy-pulling. So it's a multi-step task.
Also, I need to clean my vent hood. It's been a few months.
And I need to get my guest area ready for my parents to visit next week. It will be nice to have them come help out for a bit, provided they are on their best behavior. Bummer that I have to lose my craft space again, since it feels like I just got it set up again. But I haven't made much progress on my projects either.
I need to sort through Pip's toys - he only has a Rubbermaid type bin for a toybox and only what it will hold for toys currently but there's a bunch of toys in there that he only throws out of the bin and never plays with. I also have my old toy box (wooden with a hinged lid) that I keep other toys in. Periodically I rotate the toys and remove outgrown or broken toys.
