I have a new novel coming out later this month! Salem Mean Girls is the Salem witch trials retold in the style of Mean Girls.
Yes, it's as cool as it sounds.
And as part of my marketing push, I'm looking for ten people who are willing to write an Amazon review in exchange for a free copy of the book. If you're interested, I can send you a PM with a link to an Advanced Reader's Copy. All you need to do is read the book and then post a review on July 24th. (and this is totally within Amazon's terms and conditions. Lots of authors give away free books in exchange for a review.)
If you're not interested in writing a review, but you want to know more about the book, you can check out the pre-order page on Amazon: amzn.to/2tVDr69
I'll also have a paperback version available, hopefully later this month.
If you're still looking, I'd be happy to. Is is YA? I'm a school librarian, only reason I ask.
Yes, it's YA--but it is really, really hard to categorize! It's sort of historical fiction, but modernized, so it's really different from other books in the genre. I've been playing around with the BISAC categories trying to figure out where it will get the most traction.

Awesome! I'll happily lend you my genre thoughts after I've read it if you like. I kind of wrote my thesis on teaching reading workshop through genre instruction, so I'm ok at it.
Oh, and if you need reviewers in the future, let me know. I'm prepping for PitchWars right now and my pages are due August 3 so I'm swamped but I'd love to help in the future!
Oooh PitchWars! I'm so intimidated by that process! Good luck with the deadline, and I might hit you up in the future.

That would be awesome! I'd love an expert's opinion!
I'll definitely read it, but I'm in the beginning of a giant book and wouldn't have time to finish yours by that date. Let me know when there's a kindle option.

Will do! Don't worry, I'll probably AW it all over the board.
Don't know if you're still looking, but I'd love to read it. It sounds like an awesome concept and I'm looking for something to read now that work is finally letting up.
Years ago I wrote a one-hour presentation on witches and I loved the research. I'm going to buy thr book anyway and will leave a review. Does it have to be on amazon.com or is the British site acceptable too?
