Both resorts have changed up the bathroom configuration. The tub/shower combo now has glass doors instead of a shower curtain and there is a nice duel shower head. The vanity area has been reconfigured as well. The sinks have a ton of storage with lots of built in shelves. The closet is different as well. There isn't as much hanging space, but it still felt adequate. The redesign in these areas felt really thoughtful. The sides of the closets have a hook that is perfect for a hanging toiletry bag.
I love the new colors and art in the Pop rooms. I felt like the old rooms were a bit drag compared to the bright, bold designs throughout the rest of the resort, and the new color and art match up well now. Both beds have been upgraded to a queen size, which is a fantastic perk for a value resort. However, it's a bit of a double edged sword. One queen bed is a murphy bed, similar to the type in AoA suites. When it's folded up, there's a table and two chairs. It frees up a lot of floor space. The only con I have for the new design is that the bed pretty much HAS to be folded when it isn't being used. When it's lowered, there's very little space to move around. The chairs take up what little space is left in the room. I'd absolutely stay again though. The positives outweigh that one small negative.
The Coronado room was absolutely lovely. The new desk/dresser units are very spacious. The color scheme is much lighter. One of the things I really disliked about Coronado was how dark the rooms felt. I had commented that our last room felt like being in a basement. The new room felt very light and spacious, with a lot more storage.
There's a lot of construction happening at Coronado, but the impact is minimal. It doesn't affect the amenities at all.
Both rooms have vinyl flooring now instead of carpet. We were on the top floor each time, so I have no idea about the noise impact. Our Pop room still had the old coffee maker, but the Coronado room had a Keurig.
