My latest novel is out TODAY! Salem Mean Girls retells the Salem witch trials in the style of the movie Mean Girls. It's available for Kindle and in paperback.
This was such a fun book to write--I got to dive into the history of Salem AND come up with creative ways to blend Mean Girls with the witch trials. Like, how do I make Puritans, who aren't big fans of color, wear pink on Wednesday? How do I slip Glen Coco into a story about witches? And what's the 17th century equivalent of a Burn Book?
Also, to celebrate release day, I'm putting my first novel, The Lion and the Fox, on sale for $0.99 until Friday. The Lion and the Fox follows Niccolo Machiavelli as he uses his crafty skills to solve the murder of a Medici in Renaissance Florence. It's a historical mystery with lots of twists!
Okay, okay, enough AW'ing. But you guys have been amazing supporters of my writing, so I wanted to brag here!
Oh, also--I'm part of a free book promo going on now. It's over 230 books in 13 genres, so there's definitely something for everyone. Feel free to check it out!

Any chance I could get you to read the book to me on Audible? Some how, I feel like you must have a really soothing voice. Just kidding, I'll go buy it now.
Out of curiosity, how historically accurate is it? How much literary license do you take with historical fiction?

A lot of Salem Mean Girls draws directly on the history of the witch trials--I've taught graduate-level classes on the witch trials, so I had a ton of research to make sure the history side is accurate. I even took lines from the trials themselves and included them in the court scenes. Almost all of the characters are real people, and I included a pretty long Author's Note to explain what's true and what's fictional.
On the other hand, I definitely took some license in blending in the Mean Girls style--I use some modern language, invented cliques, and altered some of the historical timeline to fit with my story. I also took some license with a few big climactic scenes at the end that focus on the central characters. I'm really happy with how it turned out!
And I'm not sure my voice is soothing, but it would be awesome to have an audio book version!
Posted my review on Amazon Canada. It says it's reviewing it? I've never posted a review before - you're my first! It also says it's not available in my country (although surely the Kindle version is), so I really hope the review goes through properly. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll see what I can do. And I agree with @darkangel, it would make a good movie.
