Crafty question

I want to appliqué DS's name on his nap mat. Sewing around the letters will be a PITA. I'm thinking of just using fusible webbing you aren't supposed to sew through. What are the odds it will stay put if we wash the mat every couple of weeks?

Is there a monogram place near you? There are probably 3 within a 5 mile radius of my home, but I do live in Texas. That's where we got ours done.

Fusible stuff probably isn't going to hold up with that much washing. I usually use it to hold something in place and then sew it on too. I second finding a monogram place. You could even see if there's a quilt shop type place near you - they might be able to connect with someone that does embroidery. That's how MIL gets clients sometimes.

Yes, there's a woman who can do it who is within walking distance of my house. She's just expensive! But I'll suck it up and do it. Thanks, guys!

I think I am going to try to appliqué a tee shirt though because it looks fun.
