It took me 25 minutes or so to do dd's hair after washing it tonight. She's only two and has thin hair but isn't that time frame pretty average for black little girls? The article said it took 10-15 minutes to comb this kids hair. How the hell is that excessive? I hate these people. Well it's not fair to hate the child but I definitely hate the adults around her.
Sigh. I'm going to keep to kind words since this is about a child and clearly her people are failing her. When I was a kid, I would spend an afternoon braiding my friends' hair with a bottle of pink lotion. Why can't they go to Walmart and get some Camille Rose stuff for her? That poor baby needs moisture. They need to embrace it- not fight it.

That's what I average on BabyLiu. My own takes about 15 daily & I usually roll with just a headband in. These folks are just lazy. And I say that as a fairly lazy person.

My brother has hair like this. It is very blond and nearly white when he was very young. He would get many people touching his head in the grocery store line. My mom figured out that he needed more moisture and experimented with oil or mayonnaise or hot oil treatments but never quite figured it out. As an adult he figured out that infrequent shampooing and certain products work best for his hair.
