So, when we moved into our house we knew the bathrooms needed some overhauling. Both have the original 1960s tile and then the spare had awful wallpaper. It's been a process since we are kind of weekend DIYers with two little kids. We currently have the master bath torn down to the studs but we've made good progress on the spare! Still a few things to do but I'm still happy with how it looks now.
Before:
You can't see the floor very well, but it is also pink. It was a LOT of pink. And the wallpaper in the shower room is leopard print.
After:
The floor is groutable peel and stick vinyl plank. We were able to put it directly over the existing floor, so huge benefit there. It looks and feels great!
I did some string art and found this whale shelf from Target:

That's awesome!!
Could you tell me where you found that vinyl plank flooring? I'm about to redo our kids' bathroom and I want to redo the tile but DH is adamantly against it. I think this might be a good compromise!

Lowes! It was pretty inexpensive--$1.28/sq foot. If your tile is mostly even without huge deep grout lines it can just go straight over top. You can cut it with a utility knife which makes going around corners/etc so easy. I was skeptical but I am a believer now!

Awesome!! I think this might actually work - thanks so much!!
Our kids'/hall bathroom is the same overabundance of that weird flesh-toned pink, though the untiled parts of the walls were at least painted a neutral off-white before we bought the house. I love the colors you brought in, it's so fun!

I like it. Way to come up with some creative solutions so you can update it quickly and without having to rip out a lot. We have gutted and re-done two bathrooms now and it's always more work and money than I planned.
