I am a one trick pony right now. I think I just got my period for the first time since my IUD came out 8/2. My cycle was only 25 days. I had my period while I had my IUD and my cycles were not that short. Is this just my body adjusting and overcompensating for the decrease in hormones?
Also my period is super weird....light but definitely there. Color ranges from pink-brown-red. Should I count the first day I had minimal spotting as CD 1 or the day I started bleeding?
cd 1 should be the first day of red flow that you need a bad/tampon. My first post IUD period was light. I can't comment on cycle length because 25 days is typical for me.
I had nexplanon not an iud but my first period after was very light. So light that I was hopeful it was implantation bleeding. It was back to normal the next month
Im popping in here because i am about to ttc#3 and i got my iud out on jul 10. i got a heavy "period" that same day which lasted a long week. Since then i am still waiting for the next one (i am probably not pregnant, we have been using other protection). My mfm/ob said even with hormonal iud your fertility can return as soon as it is removed. But i've heard a lot of personal stories/experiences that it takes some months to get back to normal cycles. That being said i never had any periods while i had the mirena (1yr).
hello all, how long did you carry your IUDs? I am planning on having it removed since I'm "bed" inactive now and probably the rest of the years to come. -.-
