I'm in single digits and I'm so ready to have this baby. The last few days I've just been totally exhausted and after a trip to urgent care at the request of my midwife I found I have an ear infection as well. I'm just tired and it's taking me forever to get anything done.
Not too much going on this week. I need to get my oil changed and want to do it before the baby comes. I have my weekly appointment on Thursday and I'm hoping to show some progress from last week. Otherwise, I'll probably be doing a whole lot of sitting on the couch this week.
I did finish hanging the pictures in the nursery this weekend so it's finally finished and I love it! So we are totally ready for this baby to come!
Good morning! I'm getting over Mastisis, which has been hellllllll. Who gets Mastisis for the first time at 9 months PP? Ugh.
Other than that, we're good! Cal is now 9 months, finally sitting reliably on his own, and seems to be on the verge of crawling. Where did my tiny baby go?!

E rolled belly to back over the weekend! She's been working on it for a while so it was great to see her finally get it. I was so happy H got to see too, since he's been worried about missing a lot of her milestones since he went back to work. We can keep swaddling her for now, right? She's not rolling back to belly yet.

This is my 2nd week back at work, and it's going well. I find I really appreciate the times at home that much more when I'm at work, and realize that I am not cut out for being a SAH anything. LOL
Gabe is doing well...he'll be 6 weeks this week, but I feel like he's going to be behind a bit on some of the milestones (like smiling) due to his preemie status. I can't wait to see the first smile though, it's going to be adorable!
My shower is this Saturday...God help me. I am not looking forward to it, but I couldn't turn down the offer. I'm sure it'll end up being fine, but having other people in charge of throwing parties for me stresses me out.
We got some pics done yesterday since we hadn't done any since she was a newborn. This was our sneak preview and I love it!!!! My big girl!!!
Also we are going on a cruise in 2 weeks. We just booked it bc my DH is switching jobs so we are going on vacation before he starts his new job!! So excited but also worried I will forget something!

Omg I can (sorta) sympathize. I got a clogged duct for the first time at 14 months! I was like, WTF, we were only nursing like 2 times a day anyways at that point. Obviously not as bad as mastitis, I hope you start feel better soon! That's the pits.

I'm feeling so much better now, thanks! Yeah I was equally WTF. I thought all the BF issues (clogged ducts, mastitis, thrush) usually happened early on. I missed a week of marathon training, but what can you do.

I thought the same thing. It wasn't even on my radar when I first started having the pain that it might be a clogged duct. I'm glad you are on the mend. It sucks to miss some training but healing so you can be healthy enough for training is more important!
DS started walking yesterday! He had taken a step here and there before but as soon as we got back from vacation he just started walking around everywhere. Ack, my baby.
It's sinking in for me that I'm headed back to work in three weeks. I've enjoyed the time off (16 mos!) but am looking forward to going back. I'm just a little nervous about finding a new routine and finding time for everything I need and want to do once work is in the mix.

King26 you're so close! I hope baby doesn't make you wait too much longer.
thoseareradishes we kept swaddling until DS was almost rolling from back to tummy. He could get up on his side but not make it over. That also happened to be when he could break out of his swaddles because he had stronger movements. We never used an actual swaddle though that secures with a zipper or velcro... we just did a double swaddle with a receiving & muslin blanket.
DS got his first haircut this weekend. It looks great but he looks like such a kid now & I was totally not ready. I got fearful that one of the grandparents would be "helpful" while we're in the hospital and take him to do it so we went for it.
King26, so so close! Looking back on those last couple of weeks before B was born, I realize how sweet they were. Don't get me wrong, I was miserable and so, so ready to be done but it was also a really special time of anticipation and a calm before the storm. I hope the next days or weeks are as comfortable and pleasant for you as possible.
scm1011, that's terrible! I'm so glad you're feeling better now. Did you drop a nursing or pumping session recently, or was it out of the blue?
thoseareradishes, yeah, you can keep swaddling. We didn't unswaddle until he started rolling (back to side) in the swaddle.
oneslybookworm, enjoy your shower! I dreaded mine too but I'm sure it will be fun and hopefully you'll get some useful gear!
starryfish, she's so beautiful! I want to get some more done too. We got NB photos done but I don't love most of them.
loira, good luck with the childcare search! Are nanny shares popular in your area? Here, they are about the same or slightly less than FT daycare in a center. And maybe you could find someone who is willing to host in their home instead of your parents'.
@daylily, good luck at your appointment tomorrow! I bet they will do a scan since it's your first appointment but if not, definitely ask!
As for us, B has had a killer cold and double ear infections. The cold/cough has cleared up, but he has passed them on to H and me, which is just fabulous. And the ear infections aren't clearing up very well so it was back to the doctor (for the third time in as many weeks) yesterday and he's on a new antibiotic now. He's still in pretty good spirits though. He's crawling and pulling up to standing on everything and anything. We really need to lower the crib mattress again.
Also, today is our 8th wedding anniversary! Too bad we will probably both be too sick and exhausted to celebrate today. We might try to do our first night away without B in a week or two to celebrate.
janegold , I think it was because the week before he was all over the map with his MOTN wake-ups. One night he'd be up and nurse 3x, the next night 1x, etc. It likely messed with my supply.
Poor B (and you guys!). I hope everyone is feeling better soon. And Happy Anniversary!
ETA: Good luck, @daylily! I hope you get a scan and all looks well.
We had C's 9 month appt yesterday and he's still such a tiny nugget: 16lbs 9oz (6th perc) and 27.5" (16th perc). He seems so big to me! Doc wasn't concerned that he's not crawling or cruising, so I guess I can enjoy my lazy lump baby and put off baby-proofing a while longer without guilt
janegold, yes! I actually have a lead on a nanny share with a francophone nanny. Wish us luck! I really hope this works out because my first choice would normally be a French or Spanish daycare (which do exist here but often don't take very young toddlers). I'm also going to see a dayhome today. I am seriously considering signing her up for both things because I'd rather have childcare and work to figure out how to afford it, than not have it, get a job, and be totally stuck without it.

This sounds like A. No crawling until 11 months, no cruising until about 13. Also, at 9 months I think she was only about 15lbs as well.
thoseareradishes - yay for rolling! DD is rolling back to belly now, but not belly to back. Apparently she didn't get the memo that she's supposed to learn the other way first.
oneslybookworm - those first smiles are unbelievable when they come. DD started smiling after her worst night sleeping ever and I swear she did that on purpose so I wouldn't be too mad, lol. Have fun at your shower. I'm sure it'll be great, I'm happy you get to have one.
starryfish - are you taking the baby on the cruise? Either way, a vacation sounds great!
@daylily - much love for a good appt tomorrow. I hope they let you see the baby.

S is one month younger than C, but she has shown NO interest in crawling. She is perfectly content to play with her toys sitting. She will flip to her tummy and "try" for like 30 seconds before she flips to her back. I am hoping she at least waits until after our vacation to start crawling lol.
mpc, yes we are bringing her with us. We splurged and got a suite so we have more room.
This was our first week of the school year. In a way it's nice to be back, but I also kinda miss spending all day with A. Feel swamped and haven't been much on social media at all.
I am hosting an online usborne party if anyone is interested. Just let me know- Absolutely no pressure or obligation to buy! I went to a party and won freebies, so I totally am for people joining just to try for the freebies.
@daylily , awesome news!! So glad she's a great doctor and you saw the little nugget!
We had a scary week and ended up in the ER for some weird breathing, but baby boy is just fine! His pedi is impressed that he's developing so quickly and making some motions she doesn't typically see until closer to 4 weeks.
And PDQ, but here's a quick pic from his newborn session. Will DD later.
cherryvalance, That picture is adorable! SOrry you had a scare but glad he is doing well.
AFM, I had my appointment yesterday and no progress. Midwife said he seems content where he is and it doesn't look like I'm ready. Have an appointment next Thursday with a growth u/s and we will discuss what to do if he isn't here by then. Guys....I haven't been to work since June 2nd and if I have to freaking go back to work at 40 weeks pregnant I'm probably going to lose it! My first day back is Wednesday which is also my due date.

@daylily, H and I keep joking about our "genius" baby because we swore we wouldn't be those parents, lol. Now everything he does we're all, "OMG HE IS THE BEST EVERRRRR!"
