I'm just going to leave this description of her book here:
Billed as "The inspiring memoir of an intrepid teenager who abandoned her privileged life in Scotland to travel to Zambia as a gap year student where she found herself inadvertently caught up in the fringe of the Congolese War," the book has aroused a flood of online comments and reviews, which have accused the author of being patronising and inaccurate.

Something tells me that even after paying so much in taxes, they still have a lot more play money left over than most of the people who voted for Trump hoping to get a slice of that life.
Since her awfulness is par for the course with her and elicits no surprise from me - is she paying for those luxury items or are those brands dressing her? I'd rather have an answer to that.
Also, how clichè is that comment from the "small business owner" who's going to be just as successful one day and thinks of women as ornamentation for his lovely little life. Gross.

Hermes doesn't dress anyone. Ever.
I highly doubt that other designers are interested unless she has millions of instagram followers.

This is the most fabulously snobby thing I've ever heard (not calling you snobby rupertpenny) and it makes me want a Hermes scarf right now. I mean, not actually. because $$$$$$. But still.

I don't think that's a real person, I think it's a fake pro trump account.

You shouldn't, as they wouldn't even let Oprah in their store. Sigh. The store and Winfrey had different accounts of what transpired.

Well, I wasn't about to run out and drop several hundred dollars on a scarf anyway, but I'll go ahead and cross that off my fantasy list.
I know you weren't, or at least I'd assume anyone wasn't, but none the less I figured I'd share since no need in fantasizing about this type of company if this is their past actions. I'm sure others will have different viewpoints...

No, I appreciate it. They deserve to be shamed. I do remember back when that happened - that some idiot turned OPRAH away of all damn people, but I didn't remember which brand it was.
What level of wealth did Linton have prior to this marriage?
I think her family is also wealthy (or at least fairly well off). Wikipedia doesn't explicitly say but the private acting coach and the fancy schools imply it. I think her dad was a developer.
