No, I mean I just say racist sh*t while pretending I don't see their avatar...so nooooooo clue. Oh, wait you're black. Ohhhhhhhh, so that profile picture you have of a black lady does that mean you're not white? Wait, what?!

For the most part, yes. There are some that I don't. I try to retain that info, but I'm rarely ever around ML now, so I haven't paid attention in awhile. I feel like I have most of CEP though.
THere's a lot of stuff that I don't remember about posters. A lot of times when reading 'generic', "would you eat this/what would you wear" kinds of posts, I haven't paid a lot of attention to who is posting. Some of the stuff that people recall about posters amazes me at times.
But race? Yes. Especially over the past year or two, I've paid more attention to that. For all the very important discussions that have taken place, if you're paying ANY attention - this fact is important to know to help understand where various perspectives are coming from.
Yes, if they are a regular poster and have talked about race related topics. Occasionally I've been surprised when race comes up and someone mentions being a WOC.
I do not have avatars or signature pictures turned on, so pictures don't help. But if you read and/or participate in discussions it often is not hard to figure out anyway.
I mean, people recall all sorts of minuscule details about posters, for years even, yet they don't know their race?
A few weeks ago, I was scrolling through a thread and noticed my name mentioned. A poster who's name I didn't really recognize as frequent poster remembered the colors of my living room from a picture I posted over 2 years ago.
There are some people with insane memories on here.
I don't know if people would know my race or ethnicity on this board as much as they would on CE&P thanks to a couple recent threads there about Palestine/Israel.
Nope, but I don't generally pay attention to who is posting what. I just read the posts like it's a book sort of. There are a few I can identify off the top of my head, but that's about it. This is why I mostly lurk.

A few years ago, I didn't realize 05heel was a WOC. The John Tesh avatar always threw me off. Not that I thought she was actually John Tesh, maybe because John Tesh is the epitome of whiteness?
I think so. But it may be because I am more aware because I participate in race threads. I feel like yt women are less likely to read some threads bc they feel like racial threads don't apply to them. Like they have to be invited to participate.
