Our neighborhood is now under mandatory evacuation. FEMA and the National Guard are there to help evacuate along with the amazing people who are using their boats and trucks.
The last I heard our house had 4" of water and we anticipate it will get about 6" more. We have no idea how bad the damage is but this YouTube video of our neighborhood has me worried: m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejtfp3mhKbs&feature=share
The hardest thing right now is that our oldest (3.5) has started crying to go home because he missed his new bed, toys and friends 😢 Our dog starts daycare tomorrow and I created a PayPal for those of you who still wish to help. PLEASE DO NOT FEEL PRESSURED. Feel free to verify my existence with TR or vicky or rikki
I hope all the other Houston and coastal ladies are ok!
I'm so sorry. I completely understand what you're going through and my heart aches for everyone in your situation right now. Please be safe. Post your paypal.
I'll send you a donation in the am when my service is better, I'm so sorry about the stress this has caused but I'm glad your H and kids got out in time! Hugs
Sewage is coming up through some pipes in the neighborhood. Who knows what we will find when we get back 😔
This happened during the Nashville flood. Order respirators if you plan to go into your home. You may want to do that now, before they are hard to find. I'm extremely sorry. Also thick soles on your shoes.

We had planned on big rubber boots and just regular masks. I'll change that to respirators though.
We are renting equipment and buying stuff here in Dallas to take down to Houston. HD said a lot of dallas stores are starting to run out of dehumidifie/wet vacs/etc because people are bringing them to Houston.

Sorry if I was stepping on your toes. I remember people feeling lost and not knowing what to do when it happened here. Simple things that seem like common knowledge get overlooked. You forget everything. Also take a cheap camera and back up memory cards and batteries. Paper and pen. You may not have a way to charge your phone and will need it for calls. Trash bags to carry important items out. Boxes get moister and tend to not work as well.
