It struck me the other day that the only reason I know about DeAndre Harris being assaulted at the Charlottesville rally is because of Shaun King. I can't recall hearing anything about it on any mainstream news source. Why is that? It seems like a pretty big deal. And, to make it worse, police don't seem to have done any legwork in trying to locate and arrest the men who beat him, despite the fact that there is video evidence.
They have arrested one, I believe, and identified and issued a warrant for at least one more. He has also announced plans to file a civil lawsuit, I think.

They've arrested two. A guy from Ohio and a guy from Georgia. I also only know about this because of Shaun King. And the arrests that happened seemed to be due to his work. He's still trying to identify the other men involved. I don't know if police or FBI are helping identify them. They have very clear pictures of the men. I was hoping that the arrest of the first two would lead to the others.

The guy from Georgia was identified fairly quickly (by the internet I believe, not by police) and Cobb County police were ready to arrest extradite him, but they couldn't until Charlottesville issued a warrant.
Yes, mostly Shaun King and I think DeRay McKesson talked about it on PSTP. I saw him tweet about a follow-up with Terry McAuliffe who apparently was clueless when DeRay mentioned it during an interview.
I have seen information come across my feed from all kinds of sources. I know WaPo reported pretty early on, and there were others...it was all over my feed. There have been more recent stories from major networks as well as from the non mainstream sources that pop up in my feed.
