As always, my goal is to ensure we have intelligent thought provoking discussions. I'd like to continue that sentiment by asking what are your favorite fall wardrobe pieces?
Anything you are coveting? I followed the trend of all Hans solo chics everywhere and have a pair of Frye boots which I love aesthetically, comfort wise they are ok.
I'm going to search for some cardigans. I bought the Barefoot Dreams cardigan, online, which to me equates to an overpriced bathrobe. So I uh have that for the house.
I need a new one, but I had a cotton wrap sweater with a belt. I want one with pockets. all boots, I want a pair in black leather. I have black suede ones, but obviously not great in all weather situations.
I need those things you put in your boots to help keep their shape.
I need to go through my sweaters and figure out what to keep and what to get rid of. I would like a new cashmere sweater.
I picked up a new purse and can't wait for it to get here. It's simple and cheap, but so is my style.
I, too, need cardigans, but not the boxy shapeless kind I've been seeing. I'm also limited by needing a tall size. If anyone has recommendations, I would love them.
I really just figured out my summer wardrobe, so I am not ready for seasons to change.
I need some black and brown ankle boots, black calf boots, but I have big feet and need wide calf (but not wide foot).
I need some long long sleeve tees that are long enough for my monkey arms, but I can't get tall because I have a short torso and then the neck scoop is below my boobs.
i hemmed and hawed about it last year and couldn't pull the trigger, but i'm finally purchasing some denim overalls this year.
i need a pair of black ankle boots. or two. i want a more rugged flat pair, and a dressier pair with a brown block heel (think the Madewell Billie boot that apparently they've changed the quality of and now suck).
forever searching for the perfect white and black tee. i hate linen, thick cotton, etc. i fully expect to still be searching for them when i'm 50 lol.
good sweaters. i truly cannot expand on that any more than to say i'll know them when i see/touch them. i'm impossible ha.
I had my favorites from Old Navy and then they stopped making them, assholes. I found some at the Gap, but they seem to run small.
Some of my favorite t-shirts were from Motherhood Maternity. They looked like a normal t-shirt, just on the longer side. They were awesome. Also, stopped making them.

I am looking for a red poppy fabric with a dark background. I also want to take a great pair of black leather boots, I snagged on clearance to the cobbler and have them monogrammed.

my favorites were from Target of all places. like yours, they stopped making them. the white ones have long been thrown out, but i still have a black tee left and it fits sooo good. but, it's from target, so it's definitely worn and basically glorified pjs now haha.
I hate finally finding something you love, only to have it discontinued. This sounds dumb, but Gordon Biersch used to have this citrus based salad dressing that was AMAZING. Then they got rid of it!

I think they're technically roses, but I was eyeing this blouse from Target.

Where did you get your overalls from? I have been wanting some but haven't found any that I just love.
Also, how do you plan to wear them? I have seen outfits on other people that are so cute but I'm not sure that I can pull it off. I am also 100% sure that DH is going to make fun of me. lol
I've bought a new mom wardrobe. It's comfy and I think moderately stylish? I bought some long cardigans, scalloped ballet flats, loafer-style flats, a lot of plain tops, and I forget what else.
I love to shop for fall/winter because I love the clothes but we only have like 4 months of cold weather so these clothes last me forever! I usually only buy a couple of things every year.
I need to get a couple pairs of skinny jeans to wear with boots. If I remember, people seemed to really like the AE ones? Anyone know which ones and how they run size-wise?

From where?I don't want tappered leg ones but that's all I'm seeing. NVM. I see your response above.
I am so annoyed that I threw away my overalls that I had since high school just before they became a thing again. I loved them so much.
check out Vince t-shirts. Pricey, but I found one at the Rack last week for $16. Originally $115. I also like J.Crew tissue Ts.
I need some long tops and sweaters that will cover my ass so I can get away with wearing leggings at work. I had to cut back my clothing by a lot, though.

i was planning on the drop hem overalls from Madewell, but i just went and looked and they're sold out. hmmm, they have another pair but i need to see more pictures to see if i like them as much. they do have a black pair that look nice, too.
i am by no means a fashionista lol. i will prob wear them with a SS/LS solid/striped tee or button down, chucks/vans/oxfords, maybe throw on a flannel overtop. verrrry basic.
don't worry about "pulling" anything off. if you like them and want to wear them, go for it and rock 'em. i pull things off far more when i enjoy what i'm wearing, whether that be a certain dress and heels or a pair of sweatpant joggers lol. i'm REALLY trying to only wear things i love and not pay any attention to what other people might think of me in them (including my H, who, now that you mention it, will probably laugh at overalls lol!)
Thank you! I really like the idea of adding the flannel.
I need long cardigans in solid colors. I'm thinking the "boyfriend" style.
I've bought them from Old Navy in the past, but they fall apart within a year (or at least get very, very pilly and faded). So I'd like to find decent ones from somewhere else, in hopes that I can wear them for at least a couple of years. Any recommendations?
I don't plan to buy much else. I'm really trying to cut back on buying clothes just to buy them. I am more or less happy with my current style of wardrobe, so I'm mostly looking to replace things as they wear out.
Which reminds me, actually, I need a new pair of short flat booties. The ones I've worn the last couple of years are literally falling apart. I glued them toward the end of last year but I am guessing that won't get me through the year.
@stilljustash I'm barely 5 feet tall and have gained a few pounds in the last year. All in my above c-section scar but below belly button, ass, and thigh areas. Tapered makes me look way rounder and shorter than I'd like. Oompa Loompa is not the look I'm going for

I am always recommending these because I am shocked at the different body types who can pull them off and they aren't too expensive in case you don't like them. I find them true to size with my other jeans. I like the high-rise or mid-rise. Definitely nothing considered low. Definitely wait until they are buy 1 get one 50% off or something like that. They always have sales.

aE make my butt look a little saggy. I'd splurge and get some paige skyline. You can usually get them cheaper at the rack
Really? Are you getting them too big? I really thought they were the unicorn skinny jeans.

I love the hi-rise jeggings. I have a pair that's at least 4 years old and I love them. They're pretty true to size... although the pair I have on I sized down. They have so much stretch that you can size down without too much issue (I'm normally a 10 in pants and sized down to an 8)

I want to find black ponte pants that don't lose their shape throughout the day and that stay up on my waist/over my ass. I also need jeans but absolutely HATE buying jeans.
I also need a new winter jacket since we are moving back north this winter. I'll probably wait until Black Friday to get one.
I actually saw a really cute olive jacket at Target the other day!
I wonder if it's the one I have bc I got the BEST lightweight olive jacket from Target. Lemme see if I can find a link. Only downside is no side pockets.
