I suppose it depends on if you want to boycott them or not.
I'm just wondering if it ends up hurting Ulta rather than Loreal, KWIM?
Well, I presume you'll get some sort of replacement. If you don't want something you've ordered, you return it. Like, it's not hard to decide this. And if you do end up hurting Ulta with your dollars, then perhaps they might stop carrying lines that hurt them. Or they'll be fine because the makeup industry is a billion dollar industry and they sell plenty of other stuff.
Also, this is a time to hurt companies with your dollar, if it is something you believe in. I don't get why this is so difficult. This is like the hair dresser stuff all over again. It is NOT that difficult.

The only brands I currently own and tend to buy are Urban Decay and NYX. But I haven't bought any in a while. I'll just have to find alternatives when I run out.
I know my L'Oreal shampoo says that it's vegan safe, so I suspect they no longer test on animals.
Vegan means there are no animal products *in* it, not that no animals were harmed producing it.
That's interesting. I would have assumed it meant no animals harmed at any point since I've never met a vegan who wasn't a strong animal rights activist. That's good to know.
Do they actually own NYX or not? It's on the infographic but not their website.
It's crazy how one company has so many brands. I just bought a Garnier eye cream and some L'Oreal Professional hair product from my salon, but I'll find replacements.
My hands have to be dry because no Kiehls? Fuck L'Oreal.
O'Keefe's Working Hands is the best hand lotion I've ever used. I have really dry skin that used to crack in the winter, and it's made such a difference.

Vegan is not a regulated term (by FDA), so it's up to the label owner to define. So long as they can argue it's not misleading to the consumer, it is acceptable for sale in the US.
