The review shows that, for the first time in U.S. history, wealthy people with interests before the government have a chance for close and confidential access to the president as a result of payments that enrich him personally. It is a view of the president available to few other Americans.
But at least we don't have "pay to play" through Clinton's charitable foundation, right?
This whole Cobb exchange is hilarious if only because WH special counsel (and Big Law partner!) got trolled on a most epic level.
Cobb did not respond to emails, calls, and text messages seeking comment on Wednesday. But he told Mother Jones' David Corn that he "was trying to turn someone who appeared angry into a friend. And privately. My bad. This was what I believed to be a private conversation. There are many pros and talented people in the White House. I am proud to be there. It was not for public consumption but it appears I was catfished."
That's not really catfishing, dude. You exchanged emails with a person who made it very clear who he was.
God, how did these morons become so powerful? (That's rhetorical. I know the answer.)
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

McConnell Responds to Trump’s Phone Banter by Literally Going Silent: Report
As it became clear Mr. McConnell couldn’t summon enough Republican votes to repeal the Affordable Care Act, the Senate majority leader stopped responding to the president’s chitchat, the people familiar said.
“Mitch?” the president said when Mr. McConnell fell silent in one call. “Are you there?”
Mr. McConnell waited a beat, then responded. “Yes, Mr. President. Back to the bill,” according to those familiar with the talks.
