Birthday and Christmas cards from others we display for a bit and then recycle. DH and I both keep cards to/from each other - partly because we have to prove that we're a real marriage to INS but he would definitely keep mine anyway and I would probably keep his to me as well.

Most of them. I really glad I saved all the ones from my grandma that she sent for every stinking hallmark holiday. Just the silly "love you honey" she wrote in everyone makes me smile now that she is gone.

I will sometimes save the odd card if it has special meaning to me. Otherwise they are recycled shortly after the event is over. I hate spending money on cards for this very reason.
I save the ones from DH and anything from someone close who wrote a nice personal message. Otherwise, we might display for a bit and then recycle. I am also a clutter hater.
I also keep most "important" greeting cards, but feel totally overwhelmed by the collection that has built up over the years. Does anyone have a good suggestion for storing or organizing them? Where do you keep them?

I have almost every card ever given to me saved in a gift bag in the basement. I can't throw them out! I didn't take the Christmas cards down until June, and that was only so I could put up H's birthday cards (which are still hanging up).

Me too. I hate all of the clutter. We have all of our wedding cards in a box, but we toss most of the rest. I'm going through boxes of cards, newspaper clippings, etc. from my childhood and it's just too much stuff for me.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
