In Colorado, you can marry yourselves (no jp required) so we are getting married on that date at the place we got engaged.
How does this work? Like, you just say you're married and you're married?
CO is self solemnizing, so basically. You just sign the marriage license and that's it. You can have a religious officiant but there is no certification required. A friend "officiated" for us.

I love that second dress so much and since it's already got some tulle/fullness I feel like you could add on it it. Is it one you can buy or simply an inspiration dress?

I could buy it but unfortunately those sleeves and the cut would never work on me. I can’t do sleeves at all. But I love that dress, too, and I want something very close to that. ❤️

I love all of this!
I have never been to SD/The Badlands but we are planning a road trip there for next summer, and just looking into it and seeing all the photos, SD looks absolutely beautiful. What an amazing backdrop. And I love your dress ideas!

Let me know if you need any recs. I love that state!
Above all else, make sure you go to Wounded Knee. It will remind you why our government sucks and how shitty the treatment of Native Americans was/is, but I feel like it’s an important and vital part of history to understand and see. And it’s disgusting that the US government continues to do this to these human beings. When I was there I was alone and suddenly there was a Lakota man next to me and we cleaned his wife’s grave together and he told me amazing stories. It was an experience I’ll always treasure.
Also, make sure you drive iron mountain road (16A) and needless highway (87). Glorious. Not for weenies.
