Haven't been around a ton due to school and work, but I need some help. I have to host 50-70 people in San Francisco near our office for interviews. It needs to be nice but not overly pricey- I'm trying to sell them on our company without breaking the bank. Must be in walking distance to Market/Mission and 2nd St. I'm not very familiar with SF or the hotels in the area. Our interviewers prefer SPG/Marriott, but I can be swayed

I just stayed at Le Meridien last weekend and loved it. It's a SPG/Marriott hotel. I walked everywhere and it was close to the BART, cable cars and street cars.
You could look at the Westin St. Francis. It’s right on Union Square and has amazing views. Maybe not the newest property, but historic. JP Morgan does a big conference there each year.
ETA: It’s probably a good 20 minute walk from Mission and 2nd so that could be a downside.
I looked at it and it's not too bad of a walk, but I have candidates carrying luggage and walking in suits It looks awesome though!
We stayed at the Marriott Marquis this summer - it's on the corner of Mission and 4th. We loved it! And it has the awesome View bar at the top. We did happy hour there daily.
I don’t post much here, but I’m suuuuuuper picky with hotels and absolutely loved Hotel Zetta last year. I’m not sure if it’s in the area you’re looking for, though
