Pumpkin spice love has gone too far.
There's a show on DIY called "Bus Life Ever" about people who convert buses to live on. Who knew there were that many people doing this, that they could make a show about it.
LOL, they mentioned that on my local NPR station this morning, with a note that the school had not given any further detail and they couldn't imagine why not.
On the flip side, my "secure" building on a Navy base had a potential hazmat situation on Wednesday, and while testing determined that it wasn't actually a hazmat, it was in fact a controlled narcotic substance left in a high-traffic restroom. Someone was either very stupid or very desperate.
There is a Renn Faire in the area tomorrow, and I will be demo-ing weaving all weekend at it.
It should be interesting. Last time I did a public weaving demo I was so swamped I barely got to eat lunch, because people kept coming up wanting to learn about it.
I still need to finish warping my loom. The yarn I wanted to weave with arrived in the mail yesterday, so it's a tight turnaround to be able to weave tomorrow.
And, *fingers crossed*, here's hoping the rain holds off. We'll have a bit old tent to set up underneath, but even still, I'd rather avoid the risk. The loom is all-wood, and would not be cheap to replace if it was water damaged.
LOL! My boss just sent me the op story. I had on our fun board last week what shouldn't be pumpkin spice. The top contender was kitty litter, which someone had saw at the store.

I'm in the process of building a house. I went by the site this morning and the foundation has been poured. I'm so excited! I can't wait until it's finished.

All I’m missing is a PSL and I would be queen of the BBs today in vest, flannel, skinny jeans and boots. I will miss the frozen tundra that is this office because it’s 80 degrees outside.

I feel like I should know about that - we know a LOT of people who convert Sprinter vans into livable tiny-homes, but most of them have jobs being outdoor writers or travel writers or professional climbers/mountain bikers, etc.
You know what's more boring that being part of a million Skype interviews in the moment? Watching the recordings of a million Skype interviews after they're over. Someone kill me now.

My older sister lived in a converted school bus on her goat farm with her first kid. Honestly, I thought it was just her.

I assume this is a play on words for "Best Lives Ever," right? Because at first glance I almost thought it was "Bus Lives Matter," which, NO.
I've been sick the entire week, commuted into D.C. twice for a conference, and I have a shitton of work to catch up on because I was at this event.
I want to slug some Nyquil and crawl under a blanket, and not come out until Monday. It's times like this that I also think that my immune system truly is compromised from this whole Epstein Barr/chronic mono thing. My DH got this bug and was sniffly and slightly off his game for a couple of days; I've been feeling terrible for five days now. I think back to sicknesses over the past few years, and it is *always* me who gets hit harder and longer than anyone else in the family.
I need to get my shit ready for working next week, which will include some clothes shopping (which I despise.). But I have NO motivation this week. :\ I've got a huge case of the blahs.
Anyone know where I can watch episodes of Rick and Morty from the beginning? meshaliuknits
you should be able to watch them on Cartoon Network's site. I think Hulu has them also, though I suspect they don't have the most recent season which should be on CN. Though they might lock up the last couple eps until season 4, which won't come out for a while.

Yes, I actually just looked it up, and it's actually called Bus Life Ever.
We still sing Rebecca Black's "Friday" almost every Friday morning. I wonder if my family is the only one that still does this. I just Googled and it's been 6 years since that song came out. And, apparently, she has a new album!

I keep having a minor freak out b/c my wedding ring isn't on my finger before I remember that I broke it. I'm considering buying one of these to wear until mine gets fixed.

When did you have EB? I had it in junior high and could swear it compromised my immune system. I tend to get sick pretty easily. Sometimes I’m exhausted and don’t feel well for no apparent reason and then a couple days later I’m fine.
I’m trying to schedule two radiology appointments and a scheduler was supposed to call with 48 hours. Insert the “well, we’re all waiting” gif. One is for a MRI to get to the bottom of my migraines. And I’m off pain meds totally for two weeks to rule out rebound migraines. It’s a good time all around.
On the upside I ditched work for a couple hours and got pizza and then fro yo for lunch.
This week has been the suck. I'm just glad it's Friday.
Edit
@ mentioned below.
A guy drove by the house in one of those big ass trucks with the big pipes in the back with a giant American flag and giant Confederate flag blowing from the back while I was outside while they were riding bikes in front of the house. I have a stop sign right there at my house so he stopped. It was a nice night his windows were down. My oldest (10) yells, "MOM LOOK AT THE JERK WITH THE CONFEDERATE FLAG!"

Ah, but how do you pick between medical, tactical, and command colours...
