I've moved beyond thinking Pence is just a bystander in all this, waiting for his big break.
I’ve been suspicious of his Russia ties since I learned Manafort is the one who pushed for him to be the VP candidate. He’s also just despicable in numerous ways, but it seems likely there’s more to the story.
Shit like this really drives home how bad a President Pence would be.
The fact that I have actually stopped to ponder which would be worse between him becoming President and Trump tweeting us into nuclear war really says something about how shitty things are in this country right now.
So, do you think Pence knows that Trump is going down and he's hoping to gather his supporters with this action so that the transition goes "smoothly"?
This administration has me agreeing with Bob Corker. WTF.
I feel like Pence walking out of the game was a move orchestarated by Trump. He has a personal vendetta against the NFL. Baby is Chief is mad because his base is disobeying his order to leave games when players kneel and he can't let it go.

Maybe. Pence is definitely playing all of his cards perfectly for 45. He doesn’t really isolate himself from 45 whenever shit goes down like other cabinet members do. Whenever 45 speaks of him you can tell that he likes him and his “loyalty”. He is definitely the best ass kisser and that’s all that is needed sadly.

I think it also means there is a good chance Pence is going to go down as well.
To be fair, the trip *may* have been planned since it was the game where Peyton Manning's jersey was being retired at half-time. A good enough reason for him to have purchased his first ticket in three years. (Or at least attended his first game in three years. I'm *assuming* he paid for the tickets.)
BUT everything after that was planned, too. It was vs. the 49ers, who we all know kneels for EVERY game. He was in Vegas the day before and had to be in California by 6:30 p.m. for a fundraiser. (Maybe he expected to be on the east coast originally? But he wasn't.) So HUGE bounce from Vegas out west to Indiana in the Eastern Standard Time (for a game he couldn't stay for since he'd have to leave Indianapolis no later than 4:00 - a 4-4.5 hour flight and three time zones each direction) to get to Los Angeles back west in time to attend the fundraiser...and the game's start time was 1:00. He told the press corps to not bother getting out of their vans, which means he KNEW it was an in-and-out publicity stunt and he wouldn't be staying. He cancelled two events when he flew to Florida for Hurricane Irma, but he couldn't cancel this or a fundraiser, meaning he'd be in planes for 8-10 hours on the same day, simply for a football game and/or a fundraiser? And he did meet with Peyton Manning *before* the game...at which point I'd expect someone from the press corps to be there to memorialize it. My cynic alarms are going full-tilt here.
So can we kneel at every event and get these guys to head home? Maybe if Pence is supposed to show and vote on a bill due to a tie, we could have our Senators kneel and he would have to leave per 45's guidance. Or if he is supposed to stump for someone, we buy tickets to the event and kneel as he heads on stage and he'll get pissy and leave without talking.

His aide or someone said he was going back to DC after Vegas before going out to California. Which why he stopped at the game and actually saved $$. But what was the point of going from Vegas to DC and then back to California? That's still a pretty big cost.
I think the whole thing was dying down and he needs a distraction so he wanted to stir the pot again. He knows this is a big thing with his base so it works.
