Has anyone done Botox?
My derm recommended it for me when I asked about the lines on my head - she does it herself and recommended the place that she goes to because there is a Groupon available (lol). She's in her 50's and looks like she's in her 30s. She said that she would recommend going about 1x per year, even though it wears off in ~6 months, because your face learns to not wrinkle in the same way.
Anyway, has anyone done it? It's cheap with the 20now Groupon code + $9 back, so I think I'm going to go for it but am wondering if I'm crazy...

I get it done every few months because I get it for cost at my job. No regrets here!! I do my whole forehead - the "11's", crow's feet and the line on my upper forehead. I can still move my eyebrows and don't have the "frozen" look that is associated with too much Botox.
I would be interested to see if you're able to limit it to the once a year, because once mine wears off I can't stand how I look lol.
I have not but am thinking I'll probably end up doing it at some point. The line in my forehead is getting more and more obvious. It seems to be the easiest quick-fix...?
I thought about it since I am going to the derm next week and was going to ask about my 11s. I am sure he would say this is an option, but I feel like I don't want to go there.
Okay well I just bought the Groupon so I'll let you know how it goes. Ha!
I'm sure they'll tell you this, but the results won't be instant. Takes a few days to set in. I remember the first time I had it I didn't see anything different then a few mornings later I went to color in my eyebrows and was like woah, my eyebrows are lifted!! That's one of my favorite things about it.

I'm glad you've done it! I'm sure I'll have questions as I get closer to my appointment. Now I'm really excited! My 11's are suddenly really bad.

The line on my forehead came out of nowhere in the last 6 months or so, crazy!! I like how I look so much better in photos too.

Interested in hearing your experience. The lines on my forehead appeared out of nowhere in the last year or so, and they drive me crazy. My H thinks I'm nuts for considering Botox but I am definitely intrigued.
I haven't done it but a blogger I follow just did a whole IG live video of her getting it done and it was fascinating to watch. I think she has a post about it somewhere.

My best friend just got it this year for the first time. She said her forehead looked like porcelain before it wore off.
Her friend who is a dermatologist told her that it doesn't work all that well on crow's feet. Something about certain muscles they don't want to paralyze? But she just went for the second time last week and did also do her crow's feet so I'm curious to see what she says.
I am personally most interested in fillers. That is what I see the most on my face. I don't have the 11s for whatever reason, but my laugh lines are very pronounced.

I get Botox for migraines, but several of the injection sites are in the forehead so I thought I'd chime in. I didn't connect it immediately, but my 11's did get smaller/disappear. I've been getting it for years (minus while TTC/pregnant) and don't have any stiff forehead/porcelain look. The pain isn't too bad. It feels like a bee sting. I have to get a lot of injections for my migraines and I'd say the forehead is one of the least painful places for me. Happy to answer any other questions.
