Ebby Steppach is one close to me that I wish was solved. The podcast Vanished episode 69 is a good one to listen to if you wanted to hear about it.
I'm currently listening to True Crime Garage's podcast about Kyron Horman, the 7 year old boy who went missing from school after his step-mother took his picture in front of his science fair project.
I've also always been interested in Madeline McCann, Asha Degree, Brandon Lawson, Maura Murray, and Brian Shaffer.
A few months ago I listed to a LOT of true crime pod casts and eventually had to stop. I feel like it was impacting my sanity. The Kyron story is sad too.
Is 1998 old enough for the key to be non-specific?
No. I'm now invested in this damn steering wheel cover though. Have you ever read the glitch in the matrix on reddit? Yeah... something weird happened here.
Haha I did go down this rabbit hole about a year ago. But I never considered my steering wheel cover was part of it!
Kyron Horman www.bringkyronhome.org/ I went to high school with his dad. This story is crazy and all signs point to the step mom, yet she's not been arrested.
I am rather obsessed with missing people cases and saw this on another forum. I thought it be interesting to do here (it doesn't have to be missing people cases)
There was a baby girl that went missing from KC a few years ago that was a big deal, but I never heard of any resolve.
Lisa Irwin. I guess court documents said cadaver dogs sound the scent of a dead body in the parents bed. But I am not sure how accurate that is and it doesn't sound the police named that as suspects due to that or anything. If it is the case, I would assume it was an accidentally suffocation case and the parents could be in extreme denial. Those kind of case are terrifying though.
At least I think with baby kidnappings I feel like there is hope they are alive somewhere and just living a life with their kidnapper family.
Other unsolved cases that I would love to know the answer to are the West Memphis 3, JonBenet Ramsey, Matrice Richardson, Adnan Syed, the Austin Yogurt Shop Murders, Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders, who killed the boys on the tracks, and I'm sure Dyatlov Pass has a logical explanation, but it's my favorite mystery to look up all the different conspiracy theories.

Baby Lisa. She went missing about 15 minutes from where we lived at the time. There's never been anything concrete found for what happened to her. Last year marked five years since her disappearance so there were a bunch of follow up stories in the local media, but no breaks in the case.
This is in my city and based on the latest update of their car being absent from their residence between 4am and 5am you just know that motherfucker killed that poor baby. I hope they nail him.
Exactly. I was going to say we all know what happened. I just hope they have the evidence.
At the time of his disappearance, my friends and I were regulars at the bar where he was last seen (although I didn't know him.) To this day it haunts me and I find myself thinking about him.
Could it have happened to anyone? Or did he have a plan to escape his current life? I find that hard to believe, but the fact that there were NO CLUES is just so odd.

Two girls disappeared from a sleepover in 1999. The parents of one girl were found dead inside the burned home, but the girls haven't been found. There were some new leads last year, but it doesn't look as though they panned out.

I was living in a Columbus when Brian Shaffer disappeared. It is such a bizarre story and I still think about it sometimes.
This one is so bizarre to me (Brian Shaffer). I think I heard about it or on the subreddit and it stuck with me. I was just about to mention it in my own reply.

I'd never heard of it until this thread. SO weird how he never came out of the bar.
Madeline McCann - the British girl who disappeared in Portugal (or was it Spain?). I feel so bad for the parents because most likely it was human traffickers, but of course the parents are suspects.
Do you think it was traffickers? I always assumed it was just a horrible accident that the parents covered up. I can't imagine why traffickers would have taken one kid and not the others. I also feel like kidnapping kids in healthy families in situations like that one is such a risky move for a trafficker to take. I feel like most of those kids that are in trafficking situations were in at risk situations or were sold by their caretakers or something. I don't know. It is all sad.
Yes, I thought I read that area had a high rate of kidnapping/trafficking. Also, I think they were traveling with friends. It would be hard to cover up an accident if that's the case.

These cases with children are so horrible. I can't imagine being a parent and not having peace. I listened to the In the Dark podcast last year about Jacob Wetterling and it was so terrible hearing what the family went through.
This is in my area, and it's so sad. That poor sweet girl. The speculation now seems to be either that the father killed her or sold her into some sort of sex trafficking. Either way it's just awful

I don’t know why I know about this story much less remember it, but it was 11 years ago?! I swear I’m in a time warp some days.
