I thought this post was about this... Red Robin is selling a beer milkshake for Octoberfest:

Beer, known as the signature drink of Oktoberfest, just got a sweet twist. Now through November 11, Red Robin restaurants are serving the Samuel Adams Oktoberfest Milkshake.
Made with Sameul Adams Oktoberfest draft, vanilla soft serve and caramel, the adults-only drink is a fun take on your average brew. “Now, our guests don’t have to choose between a beer or a shake to go with their burger. They can have the very best of both in our new Oktoberfest Milkshake,” said Red Robin’s master mixologist Donna Ruch in a statement.
The restaurant is also offering a variety of other festive foods, like cheesy pretzel bites with beer mustard.
The Oktoberfest burger made a reappearance this year, complete with a “toasted pretzel bun slathered with beer mustard, topped with a fire-grilled beef patty, melted Swiss cheese, beer mustard sautéed onions, Black Forest ham and green leaf lettuce.”

Dammit! I was near Red Robin yesterday. I didn't even know we had them in SoCal until I saw one yesterday.
Beer floats are also heavenly. A place near me makes some great ones, and Burger Bar at Mandaley Bay in Vegas has about 5-6 different kinds. We got a sampler once and they were delicious.

There's a Burger Bar in SF too. Also heavenly are the alcoholic milkshakes. YUMMY.
Ewww. Beer is nasty. Y U Mess Up Milkshake with Beer?
ditto (kind of)
I like beer. I like milkshakes.
But don't see how they can go together...milkshakes are sweet and...well, milky. Beer does not belong in there!!
I don't like beer at all. H got the Sam Adams shake at Red Robin yesterday. It also has caramel in it. I tried it. it wasn't TERRIBLE. The caramel definitely helped though.

I'm just waiting for someone to make a bacon milkshake. Or bacon beer. Or bacon beer milkshake.
I saw a maple bacon beer at Berkeley Bowl a few weeks back. I didn't get it because it came in a wine sized bottle. Eventually, I'll break and get it anyway.
