The normally conservative district, which is in Tulsa County and is part of Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District, was won by President Trump by nearly 40 points in the 2016 presidential election. Trump picked up 61.4 percent of the vote in the district compared to 32.7 won by then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Ikley-Freeman’s victory comes a week after Democrats saw victories across the country, including sweeping statewide elections in Virginia and winning the New Jersey governor’s race.
And the poised young woman that was on the TRMS last night as the head of the Oklahoma Democratic Party was very impressive. I don't know what is happening in OK, but we need a big dose of it in all the other red states.

My close friend lives across the street from that district and has been dying from the terrible crap that spews out of coworkers and neighbors alike, but said it has really started to change in the past 3-4 months. I hope the momentum continues!
yay! I have several liberal friends in Tulsa, many educators, who are sick and tired of the way their state is failing educators and kids. They know the Rs are full of shit.
