The reasoning I read was they don't want to give the press anything they can use to analyze their relationship. If they were showing PDA in 2016 but not as much in 2017, you know the Daily Fail would run with it.
I think this is probably the reasoning. It may be personality based, or they may feel more constrained since Wiliam will be king one day but I think this is really the bottom line. They hold hands in every picture in 2014 and none in 2017 and people will talk.
I mean people already obsess over why they don't walk close enough together or whether William looks bored around her etc. I don't blame them for not giving people more things to discuss.
And if you watch closely it’s not that they don’t touch it’s just subtle (he almost puts his hand on her back at some point, she touches his arm a lot) I think a lot probably is not wanting to give the papers/tabloids anything to use.

Does anyone think the PDA thing with William and Kate could also be because he will be king, assuming nothing happens with the monarchy or a tragedy with him before then. Harry is decently far down in the line now with W&K's kids, so maybe he's more relaxed about it because he won't be the reigning monarch one day.
I brought that up last time and was told something about his age and level of charity work.
He also told someone he didn’t think they “sounded black” and used an offensive nickname for, iirc, a translator.
So it's just a :::shrug:::

Ok, I’m drinking so I’ll bite...
Yea, no one cares about that. Because royalty, and princess weddings, and Diana, and PDA, and basic black over-the-knee boots that everyone now has to have even though they have been in stores for a decade.
