We either have foliage or a total freaking drop. Where you go to bed with leaves on the trees and then in the morning every single leaf is on the ground.

Oh I love fall! Cool enough to wear a big comfy sweatshirt, but still able to wear flip flops with it. The corn fields turn a golden shade, before they get all plowed down that is. Plus pumpkins and apples, yay!

I don't like the "death" of summer I guess.
I am right there with ya. Fall means that summer is over.
I'm trying to look forward to apple cider, pumpkin-flavored things and tall boots, but fall only reminds me that winter is coming and BLAH.
if its too dry or too rainy then you aren't going to have good fall color and then it looks dull.
Fall lasts forever up here - late August until Thanksgiving - and its pretty quintessential most of the time.
Yeah, where I live has been Drought Central this year and our trees were already turning ugly brown in August. I doubt we have any pretty colors this year.
Another big fall fan here...But I also love rainy, cloudy days b/c they feel serene and cozy to me. Even if slightly depressing, I like that...the same way one can love a super depressing love song. It elicits such a visceral response for me. The death of summer thing doesn't bother me. Only thing I don't like about fall is that winter isn't far behind. I hate winter. And my house is ridiculously cold. I hate being cold. Hate hate hate.
ETA to change evisceral to visceral. wtf was i thinking?
No way. Clean, crisp air? Comfortable days, cool nights? Sweaters and jeans and soups simmering on the stove?!
It's my favorite time of year. Yesterday we went apple and blueberry picking, had chili for dinner and apple crisp for dessert.
Yup same here. I love the fall. I pop up out of bed like a daisy at 5am without an alarm and everything. Ready to start the day. I find it so much easier to be productive when i don't work up a sweat just breathing because the humidity is so high!

I like fall temperatures, but I hate the change in weather. Any time the weather changes or we have cloudy, cold rainy days, I get sick. It totally aggravates my fibromyalgia and my old car accident injuries. I spent all weekend pretty much in bed feeling like a MAC truck ran me over because it's been cool and rainy for the past few days. Winter just sucks big donkey balls.
I LOVE fall. I even like winter until about mid-February, at which point each new snowflake makes me want to strangle a puppy. Spring is OK. Summer is the pits. I mean, yeah, drinking on a patio is nice, but the heat and the humidity suck.
I used to hate hate hate fall and particularly winter before I was treated for depression. It's been three years now and it still catches me off guard when I realize I'm looking forward to it.
