I'm really looking forward to Girls Just Wanna Have Pod (but I'm not a fan of the name). I think Erin Ryan is hilarious. I wish it would come out already. I like Ira Madison a lot, but I don't really care about pop culture, so I probably won't listen.
I started listening to the al queda PSTW but switched to something else. I need to go back and finish it.
I haven't tried Crooked Conversations or Majority 54 yet. I'm a little podcasted out right now. Or maybe I'm just tired of the news.
I have trouble keeping up with LIOLI, PSA and PSTW (I haven't listened to Friday's yet) so I probably will not listen to any of the new ones. Maybe Erin Ryan's one because I really like her. I like PSTW because it is more serious and I don't feel like I have to listen right away. If I don't get to Thursday's PSA until Sunday or even Monday AM, I feel like it's already out of date, which is unfortunate because Dan may be my favorite. I feel like he's the adult in the room, and since he outranked Favreau et al at the White House, I think they respect him a great deal and he gets to say his piece without being interrupted by Lovett.
Ady Barkan on PSA this Monday though was awesome. I loved that segment.
I’ve been backing away from the Crooked podcasts recently. It’s rare I listen to an entire PSA, and sometimes just skip them entirely. [UO alert!] I’m not a fan of Lovett so it’s been hard to find the motivation for Monday pods especially. I like him as a Twitter personality but in a conversation he’s too intense or something.
I need to do better about keeping up with WFLT. I enjoy Ana Marie and I REALLY like that she includes time stamps for the segments.
I like PSTW because it is more serious and I don't feel like I have to listen right away.
I have a huge backlog of podcasts I'm working through. I just finished catching up on PSTW and Vox's Worldly. I obviously missed some details and I'm hardly an expert, but I feel like I have a much better grasp on what's going on all around the world. I think I've decided I really like podcasts for foreign affairs because I seem to understand the information better.
The episode of WFLT with Rebecca Carroll (who wrote the piece about being a black woman working for Charlie Rose) was really good. Ana Marie Cox annoys me frequently, but when she has good guests, it's really good.
I think Ira Madison has been really funny when he's been on LIOLI, but when he was on WFTL, he said, "You know" about every five seconds and I could not handle it. I hope his own podcast is better than that.
Does anyone know if the sound on PSTP has gotten any better?
If you're into former Obama people, I recommend the September 19 episode of NPR's It's Been a Minute podcast. Obama speechwriter David Litt was the guest, and he has a new book out about his time on the campaign. Not Crooked or Obama related, but the October 24 episode with Ashley Nicole Smith from Full Frontal was also great.

I love It's Been a Minute, but if you listen to the episodes where he plays the messages from people who call in to say something great that has happened, be prepared to cry.

I've really been enjoying Crooked Conversations and Majority 54.
I did turn off the recent CC interview with Cenk from The Young Turks because I think he's the worst, but the rest have been good. Oh, I also turned off a PSA interview with Cory Booker when they asked him if the race in Alabama showed that democrats need to keep working to appeal to the black men and women that make up their base and have made such a huge difference in recent elections, and he disagreed.
Is Majority 54 a play on Studio 54? If not, it should be and needs more disco.
I still don't miss WFLT, and haven't listened to PSTP in months, either.
I don't know who here brought it up, but I LOVE Hellbent. Their facebook group is also delightful.
I just didn't like the format of Hellbent. The few episodes I listened to, they spent a lot of time talking about being sick, and then I think that gratitude thing in the beginning is dumb. Also someone here mentioned that they said "um" a lot and once I started listening, that was all I could hear. I really wanted to like it so I think I tried 4 or 5 episodes but I could never really get into it.
I've been really enjoying Majority 54, especially The Wall episode. I was so fascinated. I like the PSA guys, but I do appreciate the different tone of M54 and that they have nothing to do with it.
They can always do better, but I appreciate the branching out with different voices. I adore Lovett on LOILI, but he's getting on my last nerve on the Monday PSA. I've recommended Crooked Media and PSA specifically, but I feel like I'm giving the caveat that the Thursday PSA is much more tolerable than the Monday bro banter. Also, PSA is TOO LONG.
I'm freaking stoked for Erin Gloria Ryan's podcast. Girls Just Wanna Have Pod. Anyway, I love her. I don't know that they've announced a date for it yet. I'll check out Ira Madison's too.
And Jon Favreau said the PSTW episode with the undercover al qaeda agent was the best one yet. I sometime skip PSTW if I'm not in a serious mood, because it can be heavier than the other ones, but I'll make sure to listen to that one.
Ana Marie Cox isn't my favorite, but the WFLT episode where she had Rebecca Traister on (whom I also love) and they talked about Hillary Clinton, one year after the campaign, and some of the legacy of the Bill Clinton sex scandal, was really good.

I think LIOLI fits Lovett's personality much better than PSA. I like it when the guests/audience give him shit. Jon and Tommy should do that more often.
Also, Hellbent bugs me. Like PP said, I can't listen to it while I make dinner like I can with PSA because there is too much cursing, and I feel like they talk about their personal lives too much. I wonder if this is internalized misogyny though.

They give him shit a lot, but I also think they've known him for 10+ years, so they've trained themselves to ignore a lot.

I think Hellbent is very different from PSA, and listening to it can be a bit jarring. It's just two really smart, well-informed friends talking about politics and current events - like a podcast version of this board. (Well, most of the time...)
I do like that they acknowledge criticisms and complaints.
I think LIOLI fits Lovett's personality much better than PSA.
I like him on PSA because he just cracks me up, but I agree with this. I love the games, the Rant Wheel, OK Stop, etc.
I view PSA as like half analysis/half fun and LIOLI as all fun. The Weeds is where I go to get my actual deep policy analysis. Sarah Kliff has been gone for like two weeks, though, which is unacceptable because Matt Yglesias's voice is annoying!

Is Broads Save America really not getting traction? That's so much better.
