We just got back from Disney and despite all of my bellyaching and saying we won't go for a long time the first week or so we were back, now I am wondering when we will go again. It never fails!
DH and I are planning for another baby in early 2019, and I was originally thinking December 2019. We'd have a 8-10 month old, who would be not yet walking (neither of our 2 kids walked until 13+ months), no real meals to worry about for him/her, and I FF so we could pre-make bottles. Kid1 would be 5.5 and in K, Kid2 would be 3.5 and in preschool. We have rented DVC points 2x previously and would do that again, except maybe do BLT this time (even though it was 50% more expensive for the same dates than OKW for a 2BR).
Then I was thinking December 2020. Each kid would be a year older and Kid1 possibly could carry a bag, but at least Kids 2 & 3 would need car seats (we always rent a car, they need them on the plane). The car seats were a killer this last time going through the airport. Kid3 would be about the same age Kid2 was this time which IMO was a great age, except for hating getting in and out of the stroller.
BUUUUT the 50th anniversary of WDW is 2021 and I do NOT want to miss that. Kid1 would be 7.5, Kid2 would be 5.5, and Kid3 would be 2.75ish - still free. We could get away with 2 boosters and a car seat. Maybe a single stroller instead of a double?
I don't think DH could handle 2019 AND 2021 after already going in 2017 and early 2016 - he is not into Disney as much as I am - but I don't know if I can wait 4 freaking years to go to Disney again!
We went to WDW last November when the kids were 4.5 and 15 months. This time is DL when they will be 6 and almost 3.
I would love to go back to WDW sometime after Star Wars opens so maybe in 2020? They’d be 5 and 8 then. I want to wait until my youngest is into Star Wars so might wait to 2021.
I’d probably wait until 2021 for the 50th. So much stuff is opening soon that I don’t want to miss! I also like traveling with kids when they’re nearing 3 and not at 1 or early 2 lol.
Same here. We went June of 2016 with a then-2 year old and went again last week. Our oldest is three months shy of 4 now and the baby is 8 months. Near the end of the trip I kept thinking I am Disneyed out for a while, but I’m itching to plan already!
The baby’s temperament would be a deciding factor for me. Dd2 is crazy easy and will go with the flow. She was a dream on our trip. Dd1 as a baby was moody and cried a lot and never slept in a stroller. I wouldn’t have wanted to take a trip with a baby if our second were that way.

Early December 2018. We are planning to rent DVC points, currently on a waitlist for Poly and Beach Club/Boardwalk. My kids will be 7 (2 months away from 8) and 9.5 years old for that trip. I'm assuming they will have more stamina than when we went last time, when they were 5.5 and 7.

We leave in two days! DD3 will be 11 weeks old. That sounded easier to us than waiting another year and taking an older baby who won’t want to be strapped in a stroller as much. So I think 2021 would be great timing for you if you can stand the wait!

I’ve never rented points before, but I think we may try this next time. How early would you have had to book to not be on a waitlist? You’re a year out! Is it pretty likely you’ll get off the list?
I’d consider what the major roadblock is. Is it The kids’ ages, your DH’s lack of Disney love, or money...then go from there.
Kids' stuff due to their ages, then DH. The travel to/from was really, really difficult with our kids' current ages - and we had 2 extra adults with us (1 was less than no help but I digress). I think we would also go 1 extra day, maybe 2 next time. I wore Kid2 in the airport, and we had Kid1 in a lightweight single stroller (rented a double from Kingdom for the parks). Leaving MCO, I got flagged by the TSA, had to take off my carrier, Kid1 had to walk bc Kid2 was too little to and needed the stroller, plus the stroller had to be x-rayed, etc. and it was a huge PITA to have 2 car seats, and carry on bags on top of that. BUT my CW who took DME to/from the airport, and used Disney transportation throughout had a different experience. Her Kid2 (same age as mine) was a lap baby, she didn't have a stroller for her Kid 1 (2.5 years older than mine) and said it was totally easy. She did not have extra adults with her. Too bad I'm spoiled and the rest of our prospective party is spoiled and won't do Disney transportation.

You can't book until 11M out, so the booking window is not open yet for using points.
We went 12/9/17 and I sent a request to DVC Rental store exactly a year ago today. Technically we were on a wait list for points until we finalized our booking 1/12/17.

Jan 3- Disneyland day trip to just veg out in the park doing character meet and greets, take photos and meet up with some people from one of my Disney groups.
Jan 11-14- Disneyland. I was supposed to be doing the Star Wars Light Side 5K and 10K that weekend but Disney canceled all Disneyland Run Disney events We have a 1 bedroom at the Grand Californian so we may just chill at the pool all weekend if the weather is nice enough. A good portion of DCA will be under refurb and so will some of the rides at Disneyland so the parks should be pretty quiet.
March 9-11- Disneyland for my birthday. Staying at the Grand again. I am hoping that the Food and Wine festival at DCA kicks off that weekend.
We are thinking Disneyland in late April 2019 (I have a work conference in LA so my airfare would be paid) and a Disney cruise in 2020 for H's 40th birthday and DS's fifth birthday. The only issue is DS2 would be just over 2, so I don't think he could do kids' club or anything like that. Also I doubt he'd be potty trained and able to use the kids' pool. So maybe he'd stay home with Grandma and we'd do a special birthday boy trip for DS1.
This all depends on how well we improve our finances this year. We really shouldn't be spending lots of money on trips until we make some improvements!

We have a cruise booked for 2019.
We may do an impromptu visit to Disneyland in 2018. We have some family stuff with DH's side that is keeping us from booking or planning anything officially. We'll have to see how it goes.
I'm guessing we will be able to do something in summer.

We live about 1.5 hours, have passes, and go at least once a month for a day trip. We just did a 2-night stay in mid December. We’re in our blackout period now but have fast passes booked for mid-January. Going to do flight of passage for the first time.
We are going in early April. My H grew up an hour away and I grew up 4 hours away so this will be at once a nostalgia trip and something completely new since we’ve never done Disney like it’s done now. I’ve also never been to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. I’m back and forth on skipping HS yet again since it has even less attractions now than it did when I was a kid. Kids are 3.5 and 1.5. H is a huge Star Wars fan though.
I haven’t even thought about what we need travel-wise. Is a car seat mandatory for the 3.5 yo? The 1.5 yo will be a lap baby.

minionkevin - Maybe a mini trip in Dec ‘19 with just DC 1&2...? Then a big family trip later?
I want to go during less busy times and cooler temps before I get tied down to DD's school schedule as she gets older. But last year I couldn't convince my husband to go between January and April 2017. We finally went in May 2017 and it was so hot by that point. I want to go back in 2018 but I'm pregnant now with the baby due at the end of March, so same timing problem as last year. I can't fly until the baby comes and then 8 week healing after C-section and then it's already June in Florida. So I don't know if I'll plan to take DD sometime between Oct. and Dec. 2018 and leave the baby behind. Or take the baby if he/she is a good traveler. We took baby DD nowhere because she was not at all easy, fingers crossed this one is a better sleeper that loves the stroller. Or maybe I'll look into a Disney cruise for all of us instead. There is an NYC to Canada itinerary that would be easy since we can drive to the port and the baby should be 6 months by the time of sailing depending on when they schedule the C-section.
Or I could do the cruise and take DD again in early 2019, but that feels like it might be too much Disney in too short of a time frame.

We’re going to Disney World the third week in April, which is our spring break and the last week our APs are valid. After this trip, we aren’t planning to return for quite a while. My oldest child is getting too old to miss school for vacation and none of our family enjoyed Florida in August, so I’m tentatively planning on going back again during our spring break in 2021 because Easter is early that year (like it is in 2018) and our spring break is always the third week in April, so even though airfare cost is insane, the hotel prices and crowds won’t be.
We are going to Disneyland in April 2018. DS will be 3.5 and the baby will be 3 months. It'll be our first time staying at the Grand California, and I am SO EXCITED (and pretending like the cost doesn't exist).
We took DS when he was 14 months, and it was great. He was walking, which I thought would be an issue, but he didn't mind spending most of the day in the stroller, being worn, or going on rides. Dealing with naps, though, made me realize that we really need to stay at a Disney property when the kids are little, if we can.
I’m really hoping I can convince my H to go to DL sometime next year. Then we’d probably go the summer after Star Wars is done. My aunt lives 30 min from DL so it’s a pretty cheap trip.

When in April? Pixar Fest kicks off April 13th and Paint the Night will be debuting in DCA and there will be a new Pixar themed nighttime entertainment/fireworks at Disneyland.

November 2018. Then a Disney cruise in 2019 (Alaska) and probably a short trip to Disney or DL as well. Personally I don't want to be anywhere near WDW in 2021--the crowds are going to be insane!!!
