I'm having to make this decision. Poly is $400 more total. This is for a 6 night trip.
Can anyone tell me how Minnie Van works? Is it hard to get for park opening and park closing? So we would have to do bus from beach club to MK? We will be doing at least 3 full days at MK.
That is a tough one! I really love both, but we’ve stayed at the Poly our last two trips because the ease of having the monorail has been so nice. How much pool time will you be doing and will you have any hotel sit down meals? That would make my decision.
We used the Minnie Vans twice last week - once from Poly to HS and once from AK back home. It was super easy both times to book from the Lyft app and the vans arrived within 5-8 minutes, installed the second car seat, and we were off. With tip, it was $25 each trip.
I’m tempted to say go Poly since you’ll have so much MK time.
For less than $100/day more, I'd do Poly, especially given how MK-heavy your trip is. It was so nice watching the fireworks from the Poly beach one night and not fighting crowds at the park. I liked Beach, but I think the convenience of Poly would be amazing (we were actually staying at Beach Club and just visited the Poly).
The buses back from MK to BC were insane at night. Taking the monorail to Poly was so much nicer!

I would do Poly if you will be doing MK mostly. You can walk to the TTC from Poly, and take the monorail to EPCOT too. We went for 6 days/5 nights and did 2 EPCOT days. One was basically Future World + a quick walk around the WS, the other was a little bit of FW + a whole lot of WS. An extra day, and we would have done 3 MK days, too. As it is we didn't do Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, the talking Mickey and most of the character M&G in our 2 full days.

Beach Club. Better pool, close to EPCOT and The Studios plus you have more dining options over at the Boardwalk. It is also a bit more centrally located within WDW so travel time to other parts of the world wont be as long. Another thing to consider is that everything at the Beach Club is located in one building so you do not have to venture outside if it is pouring rain if all you want to do is grab a snack or eat a meal; you don't have that at the Poly and you will get soaked and have to deal with rain gear just to get to the main building.
It depends on when you are going. Summer? Beach Club. The pool is amazing!! My DD can happily spend all day at Stormalong Bay. It's a great place to escape the summer heat.
Any other time? Poly. I feel like the dining options are much better on the monorail loop and being so close to MK is great for little kids!
You can't go wrong with either resort though. They are both amazing.
We stayed poly and loved it but are planning beach club this time bc we spend a lot of time eating at night in Epcot and the kids can swim Love ease and location of poly though
Thanks all! We went with Poly because we'd like to be able to pop over to MK easily as that will be our most visited park. I think when the kids are older and better able to enjoy Epcot and HS we'll do Beach Club sometime.
Now I need to decide if we want to do Spirit of Aloha. We're already doing Mickey's Backyard BBQ one night.

I love the Poly! The pool is great and all of the food options at the hotel are wonderful! Try and do Trader Sam's while you're there too!

When are you going? We are doing Spirit of Aloha next month and can tell you how it is.

4/29-5/5! Let me know. I can't decide if it's worth it to do two nights of dinner shows and we really want to keep the backyard BBQ since M looooves Minnie and the classic characters.
