A few of my aunts and cousins and I have begun a monthly lunch GTG. They are coming over for lunch at my house next week. Since I'm hosting I will be providing the lunch entree'. I've already made my "famous" chicken curry soup for a previous GTG, so any suggestions on something simple ("simple" being the key word) and comfort food-ish?

I'm planning to make this noodle-chicken-veggie salad for my lunches next week- looks easy, and something that can be made ahead and served room temp is always good for a group.

my first thought was salad and frittata (similar to the quiche recommendation)
I love soup and grilled sandwiches - make a take on tomato soup with grilled cheese - but do a creamy roasted tomato and make the sandwiches with brie, fig spread, sliced green apples and arugula

This will be the best way to use up brie from NYE! Yum!
ETA- a soup and salad are always yummy! With some crusty ( ) buttered bread! Tortellini soup is always scrumptious!

I may make those sandwiches for our GTG in February!
