**Update** DH and I both like the Singular and Unconventional adjective part of the business name. At this point we are both leaning toward Singular. Thank you so much everyone for your input!
DH is going to start his own woodworking business (on the side for now). I don't know if it will ever become his full-time job due to some of his health conditions but it has the potential to bring in some decent money even as a side job.
PDQ: The reason we have One-Handed Handyman as an option is because DH only has one hand and that has been his username on all his woodworking forums for years. I don't like the One-Handed Handyman because I feel like it sounds he's a handyman/contractor doing odd jobs and that's not what he does. He makes custom woodworking pieces; he doesn't do odd jobs for people. And I don't know if I have a super dirty mind or what but One-Handed Woodworker conjures up X-rated thoughts in my head LOL.
I don't know if it sounds better to say "Woodworks" or "Woodworking" at the end. Thoughts or suggestions?
I like Unconventional Woodworks, assuming DH is not just turning out 100s of birdhouses or something. I would definitely use the adjective to describe the work, and not the workER. Good luck!
I'm not crazy about any of them and like what the above poster suggested using the word Distinctive somehow Like maybe Distinctive Woodworks or Distinctive Craftsman

scm1011, thejen626, oswin, daisyn, CrazyLucky, janegold, Lol DH absolutely loves the name Unconventional Woodworking so we'll see how this goes. I asked him about using Distinctive or Novel and he said Novel sounded too pretentious and he was meh on the Distinctive. He isn't doing "fine" woodworking or turning (no bowls or fine pieces of furniture, etc). It's more like tuned subwoofer boxes and custom-spec toy chests, blanket chests, etc. I don't know what to tell him, lol.
Distinct might not be the right word for what he's making. My DH makes stuff like ADK chairs and jewlery boxes, so that may have colored my thinking. I think Unconventional works, but is there a good synonym that means "custom-built"?

I went on the online thesaurus and I see words like tailor-made, specially made and made to order. This is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! I thought the name was going to be the easy part.

Yeah, to me "Atypical" definitely has negative connotations. I like "Unconventional Woodworking" -- makes him sound very creative, which I'm sure he is to be to be adapting such bimanual tasks. "Creative Woodworking" or "Uncommon Woodworking" might also hit the same notes.
You asked for a synonym for "custom" -- the closest thing I can think of is "bespoke" but that sounds super pretentious, IMO. That said, he could always register both and get business in under "Bespoke Woodworking" for the snobs and under "Unconventional Woodworking" for the hipsters! ;-)
Atypical just brings up "weird" to me. So if he's fine with being the Weird Woodworker...
I do find DH to be odd/weird at times but that is definitely NOT what we're going for in the name. I think we both agreed Atypical is not the way to go.

Thank you for your suggestions! Hah, I agree Bespoke sounds pretentious but whatever gets clients in the door is ok with me!
Singular means unique, but is also a nod to only having one hand?
Oooooo, I really, really like this! I texted DH but he's in a meeting right now. I'll be honest, I didn't know the other meaning of singular but for the people who do I think it would be perfect!
I like Singular Woodworks a lot. I think the Google-ability might be better for it too since it's not as common a phrase as some of the other options.
