He interviewed a Trump advisor who advocates for stricter immigration and a merit-based system. You can listen to the full interview below, but I transcribed the shade given below.
Steve: "Are you sure that better educated, more competitive immigrants are what the president's political base really wants to see coming to this country? Do the president's supporters want to compete for jobs against better, let's put this in a brutal way, better educated brown people?"
---------------
Steve: "Isn't mass immigration America, full stop?"
Krikorian: "No, it isn't, unless America didn't exist in the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s..."
Steve: "When immigration was restricted after a period of mass immigration..."
Also, while nothing new, I found this story interesting. Interview with two ethics lawyers (for GWB and Obama) who agree that he has is not acting within the emoluments clause. Their group's lawsuit is on appeal, but suits are filed on behalf of Maryland and DC and I guess there's one coming related to congress.
I'm sure nothing will come of it, but I do enjoy the affirmation from legal minds (of both political parties) that 45's entire administration is wildly unethical.
Bannon looked realllly smug walking into his meeting with the House Intelligence Committee this morning. (I saw the video on ABC News, don't know how to link here.)
Maddow's A block from last night made my blood pressure skyrocket. She spoke about money laundering in Kazakhstan and Georgia that has ties to Trump and the Kazakhstan's dictator, who happens to have been invited to the White House today.

I Couldn’t BELIEVE he’s coming to lunch today! KAZAKHSTAN’s dictator?!? Dude. RachelM is such a badass for breaking this (even though no R’s will care, I know, I know).

Krikorian: "Right, exactly."
Did this air this morning? I'm disappointed that I missed it. He's right, though. For working class Trump voters, the problem was never really about immigrants taking away their blue collar jobs. That narrative has been proven false over and over. It's racism and racial scapegoating.

Yes. You can listen to the full interview at the link. It's worth listening to, IMO.
And, frankly, there's nothing but racism at play in these immigration changes. That was made abundantly clear by this Krikorian guy. He clearly doesn't think this is the case, but Inskeep was barely veiled in his shade throughout the interview.

Only pic I could find in my, albeit short, search. I know you’re all shocked it’s from Twitter (fake ‘President Bannon’ acct😌) With the following text: “I have arrived on Capitol Hill. One shirt, serious business. The downfall of @realdonaldtrump begins.”

Most people see Kazakhstan and think Borat. That’s funny, end scene they have no idea it’s a) even a real country, or b) not one you want for lunch.

(This is from Saturday; I Obvs hadn’t seen it posted; please lemme know & I can delete, no prob) Article by HuffPost to (once & for all #sarcasm) dispel the right’s FBI Lover Conspiracy: Here's What The FBI Lovers' Secret Texts Actually Say About Trump, Clinton And Leaks m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5a58d593e4b0720dc4c69677/amp?90o=&__twitter_impression=true Namely (sorry for the lengthy post): •The Oct. 24, 2016, story that Strzok and Page discussed soon after it posted was damaging to Clinton and the FBI, not Trump. If Strzok and Page had leaked it (and there’s no good evidence they did), that fact would undermine the entire premise of the Republican attacks on them.
•They expressed dismay at the fallout from the Oct. 24 Journal article.
•They exchanged texts critical of unauthorized leaks from within the FBI and within the Justice Department.
“The resort underwent emergency repairs to pass inspection in November, the newspaper reported. The property had two violations considered high priority: Concrete missing from a staircase that could cause a person to fall, as well as a lack of smoke detectors with flashing lights to alert those who are hearing impaired, it added.
Inspectors of the kitchens also found 17 violations, but they did pass inspection.
Violations included hot dogs being stored on the ground of a walk-in freezer as well as milk being stored at 49 degrees, above the safe temperature of 41 degrees.“
I don’t know why, but the hot dogs part is killing me. 😂

Lol, why? You know that man loves hot dogs. He eats well done steaks and McDonald's daily for Christ's sake!

I heard him say that this morning and hollered. He so went there, and it was quite appropriate. Especially considering the shit his guest was shoveling.
The White House has issued a statement highlighting the number of sex offenders who are immigrants and the (estimated number of) US honour killings, suggesting with no evidence that "chain migration" and the visa lottery are at fault.
Well, we knew this was coming. Note that removing the mandate removes all penalties for not offering coverage and also those for failing to provide affordable comprehensive coverage ("essential health benefits") and opens the door for limits and exclusions in employer plans. Even without removing the language on affordability and essential health benefits from the legislation, removing the penalties removes the incentive to comply. If they succeed at this, it will be bad news for those with employer coverage.

Sarah Sanders: If Trump's a Racist, 'Why Did NBC Hire Him for 10 Years?' Tweet: The network of Bill Cosby and Matt Lauer would never misjudge someone like that
One day SHS is going to crack and start shouting “I know you are, but what am I?” and it’s going to be amazing.
Predicted comment about Bannon's subpoena: "Look, guys, Mr. Bannon was only with us for a couple months, he had a marginal role in the administration, and then he was fired. I'm not sure why you and Mr. Mueller's investigation, the legitimacy of which is questionable at best, are so hung up on someone so obviously irrelevant."
But I dream of the day she cracks like Gretchen Weiner.
