I will sort of cheer for my undergrad team and, to a lesser extent, my law school team (because it is kind of a glorified high school team that plays other glorified high school teams).
But I'm not really into college football. I tailgated at most games when I was in college, but mostly because I liked having an excuse to start drinking outdoors in the morning on a Saturday. We never actually went into the games. And now, I tend to only follow when my undergrad team gets to the playoffs (for whatever the less competitive DI conference or division or what-have-you is called nowadays). And by "follow," I mean I may look up the scores and will watch the game at a bar if there's a bar nearby that it playing it. But I like my schools so I wish them well.
I don't follow any others, though if BC or Notre Dame (sorry nice ND people here!) are playing, I tend to not want them to win. I've met too many obnoxious fans of both through the years (not here, and in the case of ND, they tend to not even be ND students/alums).
I'm a Super Fan of my undergrad team, even when they are terrible. My H went there as well, so we're a family of Super Fans.
I also cheer for the Gators - my long time best friend and her family are all Gators, so I spent many years cheering them on. Plus the odds that they will ever play my team are slim to none.
I'm not a huge college football fan. Both my undergrad and grad schools had dinky teams so it's hard to follow them. I do sort of follow Penn State. For better or for worse.
Slightly off-topic, can I just say that the last play of the NYG/TB game last night made me love Schiano again? I love his tough "play until the end" mentality.

Who knew that so many MMers were fans of the Good Guys?

Random story, said best friend's H looks a LOT like Tim Tebow. Back when he was still playing at Florida, it was so fun to go out downtown Gainesville with him. At night, or in dim lighting, he was a dead ringer!

That's so funny!
On a somewhat related note, my biggest law school regret is that I never saw TT riding his scooter around campus. :-(

Yeah see I knew Tenn was going to lose because Pitt had a big upset win...there was no way both teams would perform well. And I would rather have had Tenn win because Pitt is a lost cause this year.
The game was so good until about half way through the 3rd and then it just went to hell really fast
