I had my resting metabolic rate measured today (via co2 measurement, Nikolinka).
It is about 150 or so calories per day higher than the estimates for my (advanced) age, weight, and height. I was told this is because I have more muscle mass than average, and that is the biggest contributor to your RMR.
This means that I can eat more 3 Dove chocolates or have another glass of wine, per day, with impunity, than I could have if I had low to average muscle mass.
