Work is slow. Very slow. So while I love where I work I'm starting to look elsewhere.
I'm applying for a job with King County and have a question. I've worked for the same company since 2003, but we've been bought out twice. Once in October 2010 and once in November 2011. On a resume and/or application (King County has an online application) would you list the current name of the company and say I've been there since 2003? Or how would you deal with that?
FWIW, the firm was somewhat well know (in the environmental community) under the original name. Less so under the name from 2010-2011, and hardly anyone locally has heard of the company that most recently bought us out.
Did the company that did the last buyout keep any relation to the well-known name? (If not, that was stupid from a marketing standpoint.) If not, I would list it as Z, formerly X and skip the middle name that was only one year. Then list that you have been there since 2003.

Thanks ladies. And no, the current company did not keep our original name at all. We went from "ABC Associates" to "ABC Associates, a Division of DEF, Inc." to "BigCorp DEF". So they got rid of ABC Associates completely.
Moot point right now anyway - turns out the King County position is only open to current King County employees
