Inspired by the Trading Spaces reboot, what shows do you with HGTV would bring back?
I loved so many...I really liked the one where three designers presented their ideas, they chose one, and then you saw the finished product (I don't remember the name at all). I also liked Candice Olsen's show a lot.
I feel like home decor is more popular than ever, yet all they show are real estate shows. I'm over it.
Moving up with Doug. I liked watching the old homeowners come back and get super mad.
I forgot about this show but loved it. I’m friends on Facebook with the wife of the couple that bought our house. I enjoy seeing posts as of the house.
I liked While You Were Out and Clean Sweep the best, but those were both TLC I think, not HGTV.
I loved those! So many good shows that have been replaced with horrible Duggar/Honey Boo Boo type stuff on TLC and the exact same show in like 400 slightly different formats on HGTV.

There was a show a while ago that only had one season. No idea what it was called, and I think it was on HGTV but can't remember. Anyway, there were several families and they each reno'd the same room in their house each week and then there was a vote on which was the best. I loved it, and then never saw another season.
I also liked Love It or List It Too. The original pair was too obnoxious, but I liked the pair on Too.
I'm so tired of Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop in one billion cities.
I can't even remember the last time that I watched HGTV. I think it might have been one of the newer couples that fix up houses, but we only watched because we were curious. We don't even really check to see what is on there anymore.
I miss all of the design shows. Sarah Richardson is definitely nms, but she can mix patterns and colors like no other, and I enjoyed her shows. Loved Candice Olson.
One of my favorite shows was one of the last winners of Design Star's show. I think it was Danielle Colding.....I loved her show and her style. Actually, I enjoyed Design Star and liked some of the winners shows. I enjoyed The White Room Challenge too.
Mike Holmes is the worst. He is a tv personality, not a skilled contractor. I have been hearing things about him for years, (people who have hired his company, people who have been on the show, people who have done the work for his shows), and none of them have been favorable.
Bryan Baumler(sp?) has actual skills and seems to get a lot more respect from other people in the construction business. I would much rather watch his shows than Mike Holmes.
Not HGTV, but I really like watching reruns of This Old House on PBS. But it frustrates me that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order they air them in. So you may catch episode 3.09 and they continue on into the next episode and want to watch that, but the next one they air is 8.04.

really? this is disappointing. as I said above I really like him and have learned a lot from his shows.
You know what I want? I want to watch a "where are they now" of HGTV episodes.
Tiny house hunters - how long did that obnoxious couple live in the old school bus? Flip or Flop (every city) - at the end of some episodes they're all "still waiting on an offer, time will tell..." I want to know how those ended. DID THEY LOSE MONEY? Beach house - did they really rent it out to offset their mortgage? They always estimate SO MUCH rental income...was it accurate? Curb appeal - how does it look now? did it inspire other neighbors to spruce up their homes?
I can't remember the name of it, but it was the one where they took a high-end designer room and made a room that looked very similar for much less money.

So many possibilities...
my take is that if they didn't show the final sale price - or said "waiting on an offer" - then they took a loss!
