I forgot to pay my daycare provider

It was due yesterday. Wow, do I feel like a jerk/idiot.
I set up my budget so that I pay her on the same weeks my H gets paid, and his second check also pays the mortgage, which I also forgot (thats still early though).
I feel like I've been so disorganized lately. :N:
I need a better calendar system.

Anyone have any ideas--something online maybe? I don't want to have to carry anything extra because I probably won't look at it.

Can you trust her with post-dated cheques? We pay every 2 weeks, but we drop off 2-3 months of cheques at once. She lets us know when she needs more.

We use google calendar; it texts me reminders which I love, and DH and I can see each other's calendars.

I use google calendar on my iPad to keep everything straight.

Google Calendar has been great for this kind of thing in our household! I use lots of automatic and recurring appointments.

If you sync google cal to iCal (or just use iCal) it will pop up reminders for you. My whole life is scheduled on iCal - I need the reminders

I set reminders up on my Outlook calender. If that's not an option, Google calendar sounds like a good alternative.

We pay things like that through Bill Pay at our bank. Everything is setup online and the bank cuts a check to whoever we need it to automatically - love it.

Ditto online bill pay. For something weekly she will just get the check in the mail weekly, easy peasy.

I pay almost everyone through online bill pay, they still mail a check. Heck, I use to pay my roommate by online bill pay b/c I could never remember to bring my checkbook with me. My cleaning lady is the only one who gets a check anymore.

For a calendar app I use smooth calendar and it.sync with my email calendar that is not Google. The display shows the next 3 appts I have on my calendar

I have an autopay set-up thru the bank for child care, so they mail the check every week. I told her to tell me if it's every late/a problem and she's never said anything about it.

Google calendar. DH and I regularly send each other calendar invites -- that way we both have household stuff on our respective calendars.

But honestly, we try to set everything possible for auto bill pay. We're hopeless with bills that have to be paid manually.

i have my iphone set up with reminders for everything.

I have two alerts set up (usually like a few days before, then on the day of), and the alerts are setup to repeat (weekly, monthly, etc)
