Does anyone belong to one of these gyms? They are opening one near me and have a 2 week free pass I might try. I currently go to Orange Theory but would consider doing a pack of classes at one and the unlimited at the other to mix it up.

I go to an F45 and have since November. I really really like it. It's quick and I get a good workout. I loathe treadmills so I didn't even bother at Orange Theory but I've heard they are similar. Mine bills weekly which is weird but not really a big deal but I'm also unlimited since it's my main workout. I came from CrossFit and while I miss Olympic lifting I am still building muscle. There are no treadmills but there are rowers and bikes.
For class the coach demos the workout, we do a warmup that's displayed on the TV's, and he places us in our starting stations. I'm pretty sure the workouts are the same nationwide but ours is cardio focused on Mon, Wed, & Friday. Weight focused on Tues and Thurs. Saturdays are an hour long and are both cardio and weight. The class honestly flys by, it really doesn't feel like 45 minutes.
I would say my biggest complaint (which isn't that big of one) is the music. Sometimes it really sucks but it's done by corporate so the individual gyms don't get much say. If you get the HR monitor they offer you'll get a workout summary which tells you your calories burned and HR it also lets you rate the workout and music. That aspect has gotten better. If I were programming then I'd match the song to the level of activity.
If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Thanks! Sounds similar to OT in the setup. I’m not a big treadmill person either but don’t find it too bad at OT bc it’s only a half hour max usually. They do have great music though! I’m bummed they don’t do Sunday’s since I can’t do Saturday’s though, so thinking if I like it I might just do a pack of classes and go once or twice a week to mix it up. A friend of a friend is opening it so a lot of friends seem to be joining which would be fun.

Interesting! There is one around the corner from my house and it sounds like it is the better parts of OTF Is the lifting light and HIIT like OTF or is it slower?
amberlyrose the weightlifting is not maxing like Crossfit but you can go as heavy as you'd like and do fewer reps or less weight and more reps, it's totally up to you. Obviously, the more you use the less you'd do but you don't have to max out at all. I am still challenged every time and even when I try and go lighter my coach usually gives me the evil eye and makes me go up...totally his personality though which is hilarious.
